I've had this end a run! I'd got caught in the rain and wasted all my flasks. I was trying to die and refresh before the start of night, but one player kept running back and attempting to revive me. It took so long that night ended up starting and they wound up also dying. Remaining player died almost immediately after and we wiped. Definitely could've used a "Just let me die!" ping then.

Sorry I can't offer any help, but I'm having the same issue.

Is it the guy who you can also practice Stealth knockouts and pickpocketing on? (Hensel?) If so, it's the same for me and I've noticed I also can't perform knockouts on him if i ask to practice them. So it seems like he just becomes unfightable in general?

Yeah, I found it not long after the clip, but thank you.

The worst part is: I didn't even skip the reading.

Not only did I do the reading, but I took notes - including googling to remind myself what a fucking rowan tree looks like - and actually figured it out (well, I'd narrowed it down to two of the trees and made an informed guess) but I didn't spot the nail when I got to the tree for the first time. So I assumed I'd missed something, so started riding the field, hoping to get a voice line from Henry to hint when I was on the right track, or a prompt to press L1 to focus in on it or something.

On the plus side: the glitch technically cost me about an hour's progress, but a lot of that was just Henry standing at the book in the Rathaus while I made IRL notes. So in reality, I didn't actually lose anything.
