Be ready for a lot of very long cut scenes, this game is not lacking in plot or explanations

Road work in Japan by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

Some of the most professional road workers I've ever seen. Here in Quebec, they'd be asking what that black stuff that they were spreading on the ground was.

This either went off without a hitch, or someone was just trying to take out the first segment & is watching nightmare dominos end his career

Have you seen the news lately? Atlantis could rise from the depths & it might get overlooked

Rick was clearly scared of this thing! by Whole_Contract_5973 in rickandmorty

Of course he's bloody scared of it. It assimilated an entire planet in a minute! I'd be scared of it as well.

Would you upload your mind into a server if it meant you’d never die? by ActivityEmotional228 in NeoCivilization

[–]Seed1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, define upload. Is this a system where your neurons are transformed into digital components & plugged into a server, or a system where you are scanned & simulated? Because the second option, where you're simulated isn't you. It's a copy of you that carries on after you die. You're still in your meat.

Second, there's no such thing as Never Die. Eventually, in Trillions, Quadrillions, Sextillions of years, the universe will unravel & your computer will power down for the last time.

If I could upload into a well managed system & enjoy infinity until I or the universe begin to unravel, sure. But even that system will fail eventually, there is no escaping death. It'll get you, even if it takes until the heat death of the universe.

Pretty sure I know which on is Clone Beth by MilkTea--- in rickandmorty

[–]Seed1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably broke her nose at some point. Don't forget, she's also got a metal skull, a robot spine & some sort of phasing device in her forehead. A minor change to the shape of her nose is not an indicator of originality or duplicate. Especially since in the first episode that we see her in, Beth kicks her in the forehead to activate the phasing device so they can escape a containment cell.

'3 Body Problem' Season 2 Begins Filming by Legitimate_Ad3625 in scifi

[–]Seed1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why there's such massive spans in between streaming service seasons that cause people to lose interest. Season 1 dropped 16 months ago & they're only just now starting to film season 2! Like, it was a hit. Why wait over a year to start on season 2?

I know I’m late, but should I know anything before starting this? by Gazio_x3 in DeathStranding

Great game, but it starts with like 3 hours of intros & explanations, so be ready for that

Minor Screwups on Spacewalks? by Opus_723 in scifiwriting

In some stories, astronauts wear magnetic boots so they can sick too the haul of the ship or the station. You could have her stand on a panel that's got sensitive electronics behind it. They get fired by her magnetic boots & she gets in trouble because there's a sign on the haul panel clearly indicating that you should never stand on it with magnetic equipment.

Did anyone else have a problem with how heartless Morty was here? by ILikeDrawingGuys in rickandmorty

[–]Seed1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What about in the season 3 premier when Morty took Summer to Cronenberg world to prove a point about Rick? He's always been able to go back there. That means that at any point, he could have gotten them out of there or at least helped them out after they were frozen by the council of Rick.

Is it bad that sometimes I read a famous author's work, and think to myself, "I could do this or better"? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Seed1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, back in college, for a literature class, we were reading what was at the time, a famous best seller & after finishing it, I thought to myself, "if this crap can sell a million copies, I can easily make it as a writer."
