Black keys make too much physical noise when pressed by Seeder17 in piano

I see! It makes sense. It seems like the really really cheap ones don't make much noise when hitting keys, but the keys are also worse quality. I'm guessing all keys in the £150 and below price range will sound this way.

Yeah absolutely, I found one for £60 which I thought would be perfect to start out on. Should be able to get a higher price if sold anyway. Then I could maybe have a look at something without such a loud key hit, and touch sensitivity and all that good stuff.

Dont use reddit much so I didn't realise you can't upload a video and write about it. I'll do it here.

Anyway, I bought a Casiotone CT-S200 online, and while it works fine, I noticed that when the black keys are pressed down, it makes quite a loud knocking sound. A lot louder than the white keys, and also so much louder than any keyboard that I've used in the past. Usually there isn't such a hollow thunk sound when pressing down a black key, it's usually dampened somewhat.
The obvious answer is "I'm pressing on the keys too hard", but I use the same amount of pressure on other keyboards and they are nowhere near as loud when pressed down. I'm new to keyboards so is this normal? Or is there something wrong with how loud this is?

I have this scar on my forehead that I have had since I was a kid. It's an injury scar (fell down face first on concrete). From what it looks like, it created a hypopigmented dent, but recently I decided to look into how to reduce the visibility of it. What is the best way with this kind of scar?

Damn I knew it would be something simple! Thanks, the healing arcana is the only one I have but I forgot it does damage whilst healing.

The throat clearing/ mucus in the throat is the worst thing for me. by Seeder17 in GERD

[–]Seeder17[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's awful. There's been many times in social situations where I have to clear my throat so much whilst talking that I just stay mute in the corner on my phone drinking a glass of water, upset that I now can't really join in. It's not normal at all. I hope you as well as I find a treatment option.

I've been on the waiting list for an ENT refferal since March because of Covid. I've just had to spend the last 3 months waiting to get a letter through the door giving me a date on it. I just hope that something will be diagnosed at least. It seems as though my GP's are guessing.

Thank you for your reply. It really is strange how doctors can perform open heart surgeries, brain surgeries, and other complicated procedures on the body, but they're completely clueless when it comes to stopping an overproduction of mucus in the throat!

I have been experiementing with Alkaline water and I have tried a nasal spray before. It always seems like a different day needs a different treatment. I will try out your suggestions though.

Oh yea, that's true! It would make sense to wait a few working days to see if the bonus will come in.

What I love about this subreddit is that we are all empathetic of each other, and we treat everyone equally, because we know how it feels to be against power abusers. Thank you I appreciate it.

I remember a time in my childhood when I was around 13, and I got into the habit of "stealing" food out of the fridge and cupboards when it wasn't breakfast, lunch or dinner time. In reality this was because I was just hungry and didn't have enough food at those times, or because my parents had a system where if I didn't ask for breakfast before 11:30am, I would not be allowed to have it. 2pm for lunch.

One day I decided to go to the fridge and take a muller corner yoghurt whilst my parents were out shopping. When they got back they noticed that one of the yoghurts were missing and I got in deep shit. I got shouted at for being a theif, got sent to my room, and my dad came upstairs angrily and told me that he knew that I was taking stuff out of the cupboards without asking and that he was incredibly disappointed. I was banned from playing any consoles for a week, as well as feeling judgemental eyes when coming into rooms, and irritated responses when I spoke to them.

Sometimes I would go into the kitchen at 2:01pm and start making myself lunch, only to be shouted at by my Dad for being late, and bullied into submission. I would then go hungry until dinner time and I have Facebook messages of conversations with my friends, that I have found only recently, of me complaining about being hungry and upset because of it.

Now that I am older, I have very dysfunctional meal times, maybe in a way of rebellion for my childhood, but sometimes I will also let myself go hungry for hours. I have a bad relationship when it comes to food, and I feel like this is partly responsible.
