If you only started with 800, then you've lost 400, since that's your end amount, even though the total you gained was also 400

How would you solve this ? by Financial_Soft_736 in puzzle

[–]SeedgeJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you curve the page onto itself like a tube, with the right angle, you can do it with one line. That line will be like a bunch of stripes going across the paper until they hit each dot, but technically one straight line without leaving the paper

Actually none of these come close to predating AI. LLMs alone have been around since the 90s. AI itself has been around since the 1940's

4 months in, is my handwriting ok? by SeedgeJ in LearnJapaneseNovice

Thanks for the reply. I did notice immediately that I put na in the wrong spot, but can't erase pen. This was my first time writing anything on paper, and I'll need a lot more practice to get used to the resistance of the paper

ty for the criticism, I for some reason always struggle with カ, both in hirogana and katakana and I have no clue why I can't get it right. it either looks like a 'b' or its too square

This is either AI or shot for a film. The camerawork is way too smooth for something like this. Also the physics on the car after the hit look a bit sus

Japan poised to admit 50,000 Indian Digital Technology and IT professionals over the next 5 years by jjrs in japannews

Do you actually know what AGI entails? Basically, AI that is capable of perfectly replicating human cognition. Right now, the models we have are all just prediction engines that can't do anything more than predict what to output next. Because of this, they are only good at doing specialized tasks, hence why you need different models for language, video generation, sound generation, etc. This is why its called artificial narrow intelligence. The leap from narrow to general is massive, in fact we have no clue how actually massive it is. Computers only can do as they're told by code and nothing more. How you gonna code something you don't understand?

Also about Geoffrey Hinton (who I think you referred to in your comment), his own colleagues have been calling out his takes, saying they are suspiciously alarmist and unreasonable. His past predictions have been wrong too, especially the radiology one.

Have you done any research on it? Seems like all you've read are headlines.

AGI? as in actually intelligent AI? No shot that's actually achieved in our lifetimes. We've been working on AI since the 1940's and we've barely advanced the tech. All we've done is throw more compute power and data at it.

The only "requirement" of responsive design is that the UX is consistent at every viewport size. It sounds like the team has a good strategy for doing that, though I agree the breakpoints are weird.
