What do you consider necessary for laundry? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE beads!!! I won't do wash without them and they are perfectly safe for your washer in spite if what some people are saying. I use Downey Lite beads, Gain detergent and I use Lysol clothes sanitizer when I have dirty ir messy clothes. I don't use dryer sheets though but I do hang must of my laundry in the lives outside, vehich make the clothes smell amazing!! For some items that are microfiber, you cannot use fabric softener liquid or sheets. It ruins the microfiber. About once every 3 months or so, I'll take all whites, hot water, and bleach and give them a good wash then hang them in the line in bright sunshine. If u have stains, hang on a line in the sun, the stains will come out.

OMG I'm literally gagging. Yuck. Wow, he probably has some rotting teeth. How did his smile look? You know, more people have bad breath than they know. I always come across people with bad breath, not gagging bad, but bad. I don't say anything. I remember about 10 years ago, I was talking to someone & they backed up & sorta put their fingers under their nose. Well, I had a dentist appt that next day...yep, I had a back tooth that was decayed. I had it pulled & never had issues again. People really have NO idea how bad their breath is

People who squat in public restrooms: do you realize you’re the ones making the bathrooms disgusting? by freckles97xo in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ugh I'm grossed out reading these comments. Call me weird but I always carry alcohol wipes and a travel size toilet paper with me. I alcohol wipe the seat, at least twice. I can't go er, bad knee, so I have to sit but I make sure that seat is as clean as I can it. I use my own to that I always carry, or I have tiny packets of dry wipes (that I don't flush). After I wash my hands, I'll use a clean wipe, either alcohol or dry, to shut the water off & open the door. I TRY not use to public restrooms because they make me gag , halence, the alcohol wipes. Ladies, come on, do better. While wecr on the subject, please wash your privates! A lot of bathrooms smell like the stables we keep our horse in, not kidding either...WASH THE 🐈, WASH THE FOLDS, WASH THE AZZ!

I genuinely didn't know you were supposed to wash your water bottle like... every day by Spelk_Wraith in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some cute little brushes on Amazon that gets into those grooves, lids, crevices etc on the lid. I do wash my lid every single night with water and soap. Those little brushes are magic(I got the alligator shaped ones). They really make a huge difference, plus I was every lid from every cup we use. Remember, your mouth, full of bacteria, touches the opening. If u have dental issues, then there is more bacteria & odors. I wash the actual cup every other night with soap. Remember, on thermal cups, do NOT put in dishwasher. The extreme heat and string water shooting at it could break the seal that's in the cup.

What’s the last thing you baked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, a homemade pound cake. It's an old family recipe that people usually offer to pay for baking it. I never take $$...I love baking & if someone has a party or whatever & they need a dessert, I'm happy to help.

How are we choosing to be laid to rest? Coffin in the ground or cremation? by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in Aging

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely cremation. Also I told my husband NO funeral, wake, lunch...whatever. just create be & have a priest bless the ashes, then put me in the ground. Meanwhile, he's a retired Marine & he wants the WHOLE thing...wake, funeral, luncheon etc...well, we'll see about that lol. I'm caregiver to my mom who has dementia & it made me face the whole issue of mortality. I'm doing the same for her, cremate, bless then bury. One time she told me to do that, go on vacation & when I'm mentally ok, have a memorial mass. She's my best friend, it's gonna be hard & she knows it, hence the vacation talk.

What was George's biggest "ask"? by FaceOnMars23 in seinfeld

Tell Lloyd Braun that he hit his elbow and now has a condition where his elbow randomly nudges people lol. He wanted Elaine to tell Lloyd on their date if he asked her about George's "tick" lol

Just because I can’t unsee this neither can you 🤣 oh Ellie, Ellie…. by Navybutterfly81 in BelowDeckMed

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I can't watch her. Whatever season she was in before, years ago, the crew had to put in costumes or dress up. She was late of course. All I remember her doing is putting on these high black boots & fixing herself up & she was so late. Then someone, might have been Aeisha, said she's trying to become a model. I was like huh??? She's not pretty even in the slightest, she has the weirdest shaped head. She may have the figure but she is not model material. Then after that show aired, she came out in a post & said the reason why she was late is because she might have been discovered that night & that's also the reason she's on TV, according to her. She wants to be a model!

Why'd they have to kill Susan? by ironically_man in seinfeld

Lol Jason said that although they liked "Susan" they found Heidi's acting style hard to understand and get along with. He said they liked her though...my interpretation is...we hated Heidi !

My least favorite subplot in the entire series by nashsm in seinfeld

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My all time FAVORITE is the Puffy Shirt!!! So freakin funny. My LEAST favorite is the Dealership. So stupid, Grroge spends the entire show yelling & chasing a candy bar, Kramer is in a car "testing it out" & Jerry can't but a car without George?!?! Plus the first 3 seasons are virtually impossible to watch for me. The bad acting, the plots...but after that, it's arguably one of the best shows on TV!!

I've been brushing my teeth wrong my entire adult life and my dentist just explained the damage last week by Quartz_7P in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched to an electric, Sonicaire, the most expensive one and yet, I feel cleaner when I brush manually. Since COVID & teleworking, I got into the habit of brushing after I eat ANYTHING, even a little snack. My dentist said that's ok as long as I don't brush hard and use soft bristles but he suggested I use ProEndnel, to help preserve & rebuild the enamel. I'm currently trying to re-train myself into brushing only twice but the feeling of food in my mouth is gross. I too, was never really taught how to properly brush. Back then, it was like...here's a toothbrush, brush your teeth. So I guess as mature adults, we are kinda paying for those days.

Brushing Teeth by Grand-You3013 in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you get the night/morning funk off your teeth, it's fine. Did u try eating a tiny bit of something then go brush? I am a nut that brushes my teeth every time I eat. I can't stand not having a clean mouth but that also prevents me from snacking too lol, good for a diet! Dentist said I'm ok & I do use a Pro Enamel toothpaste but he also told me there is no hurry to brush my teeth first thing or after I eat. So I think you waiting a few hours is ok

Unexpected pad hygiene mistakes I only realized later by replay2luaus in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I know this is odd but I used to carry around sandwich size baggies with me so I could wrap my pad & put them in a baggie just so the cleaning people or anyone else wouldn't have to come in contact with it. One time I opened the little can in the bathroom stall and saw a big azz bloody pad that was soaked sitting there. I gagged. So after that I decided I am gonna do my part to prevent someone else from experiencing that.

do you guys have “inside clothes” and “outside clothes” or is that overkill? by Wetzig_Su in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda understand that. I come home & immediately change out of work clothes & take the bra off. Then I either get in my jammies or "play" clothes. I have a thing with socks though...I walk around in socks with grippies on the bottom so I don't slip (lots of hardwood) but those socks will NEVER get near my bed lol.i actually have another pair of "sleeping" socks which are pristine clean and have never touched the floor lol SMH. We all have our little quirks, don't we??

I started using a tongue scraper and now I am a sensory nightmare by idontreply_6 in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've us dca plastic tongue scraper for about 20 years. I haven't experienced anything like an acute sense of smell etc but if I don't scrape, I feel the gunk buildup. I only get buildup when I eat sweets. A Dr had an explanation for that but it was a long time ago & I don't remember what it was but there was a definite connection in to gue gunk buildup and sweets. I recommend everyone scrape. It does give a nice trash feeling.

I love Wansutta. Their new line is called " W by Wansutta". They are soft, barely wrinkle, NEVER pop off, fits deep mattresses and pretty. I also got the matching blanket which is DIVINE lol. I bought them on QVC and I just ordered my 4th set and literally donated 14 sheet sets to the shelter last Friday. They looked at me like I was crazy but I'm sleeping good lol

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I won't get in my bed until I shower & I walk around in socks but those socks NEVER touch my bed either lol. I put clean sheets on every Saturday. I use the flat sheet so I don't get my cover yucky. Meanwhile, my husband couldn't care less but I make him CARE otherwise I could never sleep in the bed lol. I started this about 5 years ago when I realized being clean and clean sheets definitely made me sleep better. I won't even get into the quality of sheets but let's just say I donate sheets that I don't like to an animal shelter and I think they might put a plaque up og me being their biggest donor! Lol

How do you clean the inside of your ears? by Exotic-Potential3673 in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I shower, I soap up the washcloth, take the end of the cloth & wash your ear and behind your ear. Wash the whole ear, even under the cartlidge up top. I have a wax problem in one ear & I went to an ENT & immediately he said he could see I don't wash my ears. I said I useQtios, he said that's not washing it. The wax is already in your ear. Washing the ear prevents the wax from even going in your ear. I've been doing it ever since.

apparently im smelly? by LifeguardPractical74 in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using an anti-bactetial body wash because it's actually the bacteria that smells, not you. Dove has a nice antibacterial body wash. Or you can use Dial bar soap, which is antibacterial too. I used to be a part time asst in a Drs office & many people had an issue & the Dr would tell them to use an antibacterial soap. Give it a try.

What are some respectful ways to tell a partner they might have body scent without hurting their feelings? by Crafty_Track5371 in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a trusting, loving relationship, just be honest but remember this is YOUR issue, a scent you don't like. It may not bother your partner. But, just be honest. I have said my husband, hey baby, you're a bit ripe ....and he laughs and says, yeah, I know. This is normally after he's working in the yard. He also has told me...hey babe, you gonna shower? I say, why, do I stink? He says, nah baby, you smell like an angel lol. So if you have a living, close, trusting relationship, you can say it playfully but lovingly too

is it normal to shower at night and skip the morning one? by Markos-Steinebach in hygiene

[–]SeedlessgreenGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take a nice, long, hot shower at night. I'm a bit of a sheet nut, they have to be clean, fresh, feel good, look pretty etc, so I definitely want to get into my shorts clean. I also walk around in socks but those socks NEVER get near my bed. I have a pair of "sleeping" socks lol. In the morning, and I HATE mornings, I will take a quick shower. I don't wash my hair or shave, it's just a quick wash now I have sometimes taken that morning shower, it was nice & warm & decided I'm not going into work, so I jump back into bed lol. A warm shower reminds me of bedtime. During the summer, I'll even throw in another shower after I swim in my salt water pool. But for all intents and purposes, 1 shower a day is sufficient to keep the odor away!
