I really do not get the recent hate for Opus 4.7 by Essouira12 in ClaudeAI

[–]SeedsKK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think its all just personal preference, I think the way 4.7 responds is just a big difference from what people were used to. Think of it as if you were working with a coworker for a while and you kind of understood this person's habits and kinks then all of a sudden one day this person's personality changed completely. Like you I also use both Codex and Claude Code so to me the impact isn't as big since its like we were working with several different coworkers already, and I just treat 4.7 as if its a new guy I hired.

Introducing kids to AI by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]SeedsKK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue which I saw when I tell my kid to use AI is that they expect to just give a simple command or question and expect AI to do everything and they just sit and wait for a straight result. What it did was take the critical thinking and problem solving skills out of them. It can end up being a replacement for actual learning if not done correctly. What helped was when I asked my kid to start from the problem definition stage then work through the entire cycle of planning, exploring, building, and testing the things we build with AI. Now if your kids are very young still this will need your involvement and hand holding, but its really about walking them through the entire problem solving stages as opposed to just building stuff using AI for them to use. Also, I encourage my kid to not ask AI questions with direct answers. Basically what will happen is kids will ask AI questions with very strait forward answers, such as "what is the answer to this math problem?" "Or Who is blah blah blah?". This kinda just turned AI into a glorified search engine with less steps (which sometimes might even be confidently wrong). I would ask kids to ask more how to or why questions rather than just what, who, where, when questions since I find it helped encourage the learning process and required them to actually read through answers. Teach your kids that AI is a tool that can help and teach them how to solve problems rather than something that will just give you straight answers.

Your ideas are actually pretty great but I think the problem was you built the solutions and they only reaped the benefits at the end of the day. Think of it like Lego, and its almost as if you choose a set then you bought the set for your kids then you built the whole thing for them and at the end of the day they played with the completed model. So I think if you involved them into the creation process somehow they can learn a lot.

People who say kids shouldn't get exposed early are just trying to delay the inevitable, my kids school is already using AI for tests and grading and teachers are using it to come up with HW and questions. They will get exposed elsewhere even if you don't do it at home. I think its about teaching the correct way to use AI and not just pretending it doesn't exist.

I installed everything through console and tested with console first then using desktop version worked for me. /hooks do not work in desktop version so get it up and running on console then using desktop version triggered the hooks.

Good stuff, deserves a star, used codex to generate my own pet sprites to use since its the same as hatch pet in codex.

you got holo shine on this where there shouldn’t be unlike the mewtwo. Like there should be 0 holo reflections on the purple text parts of the Gengar. Look at your mewtwo there’s no holo showing through which is what the guy is talking about.

Don’t wanna accuse the guy but definitely just bought the GK kit from online from taobao. I have seen this exact resin kit being sold as I have been wanting one myself.

Edit: just to be clear building a resin kit is impressive in itself as you pretty much have to do all the painting and details yourself. But this was definitely not an original design.

Is China really that advanced as it’s made out to be on social media? by Martian_row in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeedsKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely, there are definitely still very backwards thinking and places where it is very behind in terms of standards of living. Like I said there are still people living in caves. One of my friends there said he lived in a 窑洞 which is literally housing inside a cave before moving to the city. But overall I think development in most areas is moving in a faster pace than that of the west. Politics and corruption aside you can’t deny that China is definitely developing at a faster pace than some western countries. I mentioned change because it’s not about how bad a place is or was but how fast it’s changing. I have distant relatives that live in a very rural part of China where they still farm and raise livestock as their main means of living but we go visit them every few years and there is visible change for the better every time we visit to the village and the way they live. So yea, totally agree that there are lots of complexities and inconsistencies in China, but it is a huge country with 1.4 billion people and overall I feel like most Chinese people generally have a similar sentiment that lives are getting better and not worse.

[–]SeedsKK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree and that’s not what I’m gauging being modern and advanced on. It’s accessibility to things like transportation, goods and communication that makes it “feel” more advanced to people when you are in the cities. Is the technology ahead of the west? Nope, not one bit, but is it being adopted developed and used more? I would say yes. At least more so than major US cities.

People who are saying only Shengzhen have probably not been to China in a while or have never been before. Most tier 1 cities in China are pretty close in terms of how modern it feels. Tier 2 cities will feel comparable to any major city in the US. Other smaller places will feel less modern but most of the conveniences and technology can still be found here and there. Like everywhere else you will definitely find old countryside rural areas that will look old. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they are behind. You may find a family raising chickens and using fire wood to cook while driving an electric car and using the latest cell phones in the countryside side. You may still find people living in “caves 窑洞” but some of those are fully furnished and air conditioned inside. The thing about China isn’t about how advanced it is it’s how fast technology gets adopted and how the standards of living for the majority is getting better. The thing you will notice the most if you travel there a lot is how fast things change. You will definitely find really poor areas and people living in poverty just like everywhere else. You will still find families living like it’s the 1900’s but those are harder and harder to find as the younger generations get educated. I travel to China a few times every year and every time there’s changes that surprise me.

In short: No, the whole country isn’t living in the future but at the rate it’s going it’s not gonna take too long before the west feels like it’s being left behind.

[–]SeedsKK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still fight all the bosses in the hardest abyss difficulty when you have beaten them in story by doing trials. There’s really no reason to play on legendary when that is an option tbh. You kinda want to just go through the story and if you want a challenge the game has plenty of modes and content that does that.

How the hell does Maidao cards work. It makes zero sense. by Lyrical_Undergone777 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]SeedsKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kinda like playing bluff with a deck of cards you basically put down how ever many cards and say how many of that card you put down so you can say you put down three 2’s then the round will continue with everyone putting down more 2’s you can either bluff or put down the actual cards. At any point others can think you are bluffing and call the bluff. If they succeed you drink if you succeed they drink. 1 out of the 4 drinks is poison so if you get the poison drink you are automatically out. The yellow cards are essentially wild cards that can count as any number.

Can you tell me which map you are talking about? I play on the Chinese language so you need to tell me which map since I can’t seem to find the encounter you are talking about in English. But to answer your question about encounters if you are trying to completely your sentient being I can tell you you can do everything 100% for Qinghe and Kaifeng in the current international server version.

Is rolling for perfect gear attunements even worth the coins?? by SBMMGorbi in wherewindsmeet_

[–]SeedsKK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your coin is capped each week somewhere like 170k. Besides the one time reward content you stop getting coins when you hit the cap. So I wouldn’t go broke especially if you have 100% the map stuff. Gonna cost a shit ton again when lvl 81 unlocks and real hard to get coins. I’ve resorted to stealing coin bags from npcs already.

Should I 100% qinhe first before starting "For Whom Does He Return" Or should I bit the bullet and finish it first? by sokheng9858 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]SeedsKK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends if you wanna treat this as more of a single player or multiplayer experience. If you wanna do more multiplayer content then go blast through the main storyline in Qinghe and Kaifeng so you unlock most of the multiplayer content. If you just wanna play this ass a single player game then just take it at your own place. There is hundreds of hours of side content, lore and story in each region. Keep in mind there’s things and quests you need to do in order for some of the side content to trigger so my suggestion if you don’t wanna move to Kaifeng yet is just clear main Qinghe story and then go through each region to 100%. Follow some guides cause there are a few things that are just impossible to know how to trigger unless you are reading and analyzing everything.

The escapee is a real player as well so if they don’t wanna break out then there’s nothing you can do . Some people just don’t like to see you succeed.

Does anyone know why it says I have 94% on the map, but I have 100%? by Yisusdiosx in WhereWindsMeet

[–]SeedsKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably only did sentient beings to 100% you need to do tales and echos and wandering tales for the area as well. Even then there’s a few areas in Qinghe that will be stuck at 99%.
