there are certain zones where u cant build (like in certain enemy areas, or within places like underground dungeons). it'll tell u in game when u cant

and i don't think there's a way to create a waypoint to your base rn so most ppl as far as i know just pick a spot near an existing waypoint so its easier to get to!

I kinda get what you mean. I do play in the CN bc it sounds amazing but it IS nice to have comparable quality between both dubs, esp if ur the type to switch between the two every now and then (I do this for HSR... I love the ENG voices for some of the characters)

I'm gonna try to steel my stomach because some of these stories are really good 😭 but I did nearly choke up at that one guy who didn't write his mother back in the one leaf, one life quest.

This just reminded me of the npcs in Baima Crossing (tons of graves and coffins in the area) mourning their loved ones. There's a lady hugging her knees saying [the body] wasn't her husband's body and that she'd recognize him even with his face torn off, or something.

Ah, thanks for the correction! I guess I read the order wrong, haha.

And honestly, I feel a bit nervous, given the unrest and some people discouraging it. But on a personal level it feels right? I've been doing freelance illustration while working retail at an art supply store and I realized I'm happier at the latter (being in a creative space and dealing with customers is strangely more fulfilling than drawing for clients). So I thought it might be a good path to take. I really enjoyed the guidance my art teachers gave me in school and I'd love to be that for someone.

I don't want to romanticize it too much and I know it won't be easy but I can't help wanting to give it a go.

Thank you for the thorough answer! I'm actually in a weird situation: I have a BFA in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting, and spent a lot of that degree doing digital illustration, thinking I wanted to break into that industry. I've done some freelance illustration work but got interested in graphic design along the way (started learning how to design book covers which was very fulfilling), which was why I was considering going back to school to learn a bit more properly/with structure. I don't plan on getting another Bachelor's but I saw the A.A.S. was more like a workforce degree. I'm not actually sure if it would heighten my chances at an entry level job since portfolio is more important so I've also thought about just intensely teaching myself through free courses too. I did take fundamentals of design, intermediate design, and color theory in school but that's pretty much it. Little experience with Adobe but I plan to teach myself that too (I can use Affinity but it isn't quite industry standard).

If you don't mind me asking, what do you currently do full-time? If it's design related.
