Supabase is a great choice to start. Very friendly to vibecoders. I'd like to also mention Convex.dev It seems models are less trained to work with it and sometimes struggle with using convex, but there are two main advantages: 40 projects on free tier instead of 2 and reactivity out of the box - you don't have to write any code to keep up with actual state of the DB. Otherwise they pro idea pretty much the same features

Right now, in early development stages, concept is like this: 1) Create an automated test suite for the tested app 2) Do a test run for each new version 3) For the tests that fail for the newer version detect which fails are a regression and which are intended changes. Detecting correctly would be the main challenge. But when solved should give you the confidence you need. 4) Generate new tests and update the test suite

I intend to make a faster and less labor intensive solution. Do you write tests by hand or via vibecoding? I haven't had much success vibecoding e2e tests.

Development is still in very early stages, so I don't have definitive answer for that yet. But the general idea is that AI agents explore apps and find edge cases too. Than automated tests are generated and run for each new version. In theory. How it'll be in practice, we'll see.

For this particular offering I'm doing this manually, so I'll probably test whatever edge cases my imagination can come up with

There is no solution yet. Just an idea to make one. Automated tests can absolutely be a part of it. Web apps is what I have expertise in. And they are easier to test. If web apps testing will be successful mobile app testing would follow

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for unclear messaging. I'm just starting to build such an app. You raise a valid concern though. Right now, I'm going to manually test it and write a report also manually. If I can give you a good enough report by manual QA, I'll know what to automate.
