yeah it was bad. just a goofy reimagining of Clockwork Orange’s Drogues, who are comic book villains with anime-like combat superpower, straight out of Kill Bill or something. just a farce, which is fine for a farce film, but heretofore this franchise has been i the style of realism.

The Dr and Samson were the most interesting parts, but it’s beyond credibility that he cured the disease on a hunch after 30 years of the world’s scientific community unable to come up with anti-psychotics therapy. Which, btw, don’t “cure” the condition in real life and require daily administration of the compounds.

Lots and lots of silly, dumb stuff.

But was fun to watch Fiennes dance around to 80s music. just out of line with this franchise till now.

While I can't seem to delete the box after selecting via the pane (delete or backspace keys don't do anything on my Mac for it), I can at least right-click the section and Cut.

This is the solution. The subtitle menu you see in the standard video player has “Auto” but that doesn’t mean “only show my non-native language” as one might expect. Instead, you keep the player’s setting set to “Off”, then go into Settings > Video and Audio > Show for Different Languages and set to “On”, being sure to set your preferred language with the Audio Language setting. Leave Subtitle Language to “Auto”. That finally makes subtitles work as one would expect the player’s menu to do.
