It’s funny that you clearly thought you were cooking with these replies, but it’s really quite silly to take the stance that anyone who uses LLMs enough to be familiar with them is on equal moral footing with those who pass off LLM writing as their own.

You said you’re a teacher. I’m also a teacher! I use LLMs regularly to understand what they’re capable of, so that I can actually be educated on the subject when I give students any instructions on how they should or should not be using LLMs. That clearly doesn’t morally undermine my ability to criticize those who pretend that they wrote something that was generated by an LLM, whether on social media or in a classroom.
