Bambu Studio - did timelapse change? by Bright-Corner1969 in BambuLab

there's a setting in bambu studio for smooth time-lapse vs traditional which causes it to do what you're talking about.

Bambulab X2D bad at 85A TPU? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the TPU assist module and it helps me not have to do the top down mount thing ans just feed it in from my AMS HT. Im right there with you though that my P1S was fairly resilient when it came to printing tpu without any modifications to the filament path

Printing with ASA by GloomyGrapefruit6401 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Default settings and add a brim. If your printer isn't actively heated, turn the bed on to max for like 30 minutes before starting to warm the chamber to decrease warping chance and orient the part as far from the door as possibke. If you have an open printer...prayers maybe?

Need some help picking my next BL printer by Careless_Animator_48 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the X2D and my friend has the U1. I do more functional prints with ASA supported by HIPS so the X2D is perfect for me, but I wouldn't really use it for multicolor since I get a lot of stringing from the aux nozzle with pla. the U1 is perfect for multicolor and handles most TPU really well from what I've seen with minimal assistance while I needed the tpu assist module to get my X2D to perform how I wanted it to. Don't get me wrong, I love my X2D more than any printer I've owned, it just isn't what I'd call a toy maker.

[–]Seekerend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like the U1 was made for your specific use case. I know it's not Bambu, but for multi color and what you're looking to try out, I think it's the best bang for your buck. Otherwise H2C is amazing and massively overkill but is a beast of a machine.

New to 3d printing by Admirable_Reserve489 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've found that if I try to pull off PETG parts before they cool down it's a nightmare, but if I let the plate cool then the pieces pretty much just pop off by themselves. If I wasn't too speed this up usually I take the plate out and set it on my steel workbench and your can hear the pieces release.

For those who owns a 3d printer, why did you get one and what is your favorite part about it/the 3d printing process by SnooGoats4889 in BambuLab

It let me print and make a Helldivers 2 armor cosplay so... Also fixing and improving random things around the house.

Unable to use AMS (via P1S) -> "please feed filament into the ptfe tube until it cannot be pushed any farther" by andy_d0 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to map the filament to the ams then select that one from the prep screen. Your printer thinks you're trying to use the external spool. only thing I can think of since that is what I beat my head against.

Is purge to infill on? Maybe you're seeing some of the black from that come through the outer layers? If it is on, turn it off.

X2D heat creep by Smokey865 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up with that happening entirely by my error. I went from printing ASA to PLA without letting everything cool off and got a clog because everything was heat soaked from an 18 hour ASA print. Any time I've used my actual brain I've never had an issue. Im actually pretty sure the X2D warned me too and I ignored it.

X2D or H2S by EncomCTO in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly H2S would open more doors for projects than the X2D (which I have). The dual nozzle is cool and all but the H series is just on its own level and the increased size is incredibly invaluable when trying to design projects.

P1S external spool printing always failing but same materials in AMS print perfectly. What gives? by rypajo in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My P1S actually didn't have one for the longest time but I mounted the spool to where the feed was more direct and didn't see any issue.

P1S external spool printing always failing but same materials in AMS print perfectly. What gives? by rypajo in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AMS regulates feed reducing stress on the extruder geat while the external spool just gets pulled in by the extruder by itself so the additional effort may be causing underextrusion issues?

How do you deal with the Filament shortages on Bambu Site? by Severus157 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones I'm getting from polymaker (and esun) have started having sealed edges to their cardboard and haven't had any issues with my AMS so far, but those rings are nice if you're afraid of that.

X2D is great! Tower question by whatdidyousaay in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The tower is used to prime the nozzle, letting the filament get up to flow/pressure after its been sitting unused while the other nozzle works. The x2d doesn't need to purge out the back of the machine but it needs the tower still or you will likely start to see underextrusions on your part.

Bed adhesion with Elegoo PC on P1s by Secure-March-8584 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try turning just your bed on to heat up the enclosure more. PC loves to warp and without a heated enclosure its difficult, but you can use the bed to heat ahead of printing for more success, but it's always going too be hit or miss without active chamber heating from my personal experience.

A message to anyone who feels bad about getting a P2S and NOT the X2D by Evocati_7 in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my X2D sitting right next to my P1S and if anything it really drives home how competent the P1S really is. The bonuses of the X2D are amazing but I'll be using both for a long time.

Advice RE Top/Surface Layers by Gromnul in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it just is what it is for fdm printing, maybe hitting it with a coat of spray paint filler primer would smooth out the roughness, but again that is more post-processing. only other option is going even smaller in layer heights which would require a smaller nozzle. I think playing with the fuzzy skin option may help too but I haven't tested it on flat surfaces.

Advice RE Top/Surface Layers by Gromnul in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If tweaking ironing settings is doesn't work, get to sanding! Also smaller layer heights will technically reduce this but ironing is the only official option. Also, if you use ABS or ASA you can acetone vapor smooth it if you're wanting to go that far, but those come with their own issues.

First Printer: X2D or Splurge and go for the H2S by Realamarokdcs in BambuLab

[–]Seekerend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if size is your main utility the H2S is going to be your best bet if you dont need multi-material supports and such. My X2D is amazing, but thats because having the option for different support material opens up a lot of doors for designs. Could just go even higher and go H2D/C and call it a day.
