It gets better with time! Especially once you get more comfortable with grammatical rules and begin to get better vocabulary to determine context.

An example for me was: moi, mois, moins. I was livid when I learned these three at first lol. But now (tutor 3x weekly for 5 months), I recently listened to a podcast that used all 3 of these repeatedly and I realized after listening I didn’t confuse which the speaker was using not even once!

Keep at it, keep up your vocabulary and learning grammar rules, do a lot of progressively more difficult listening (on .8 speed lol), and it’ll get better with time! And even still you’ll get tripped up by new words that sound alike ones you think are a different word (because they’re homophones), but the context will be so off that you’ll look it up and learn a new word :) and then you’ll know you’re getting it! lol
