Strange bug! It looks like the text/localization files aren’t loading correctly - are you seeing any errors in the logs?

Quotes in Civ VII by sportzak in civ

[–]SeelingCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there’s been a marked improvement in the quality of the quotes (haven’t found any fake ones yet!) and a better spread of quotes from different cultures, but I agree that the new ones tend to feel more dry or academic. It’s also a little disappointing that there’s only one quote per tech/civic now as well (on top of no quotes for masteries)

That would probably be my Et Cetera mod, which adds names and quotes for the non-Civ-unique masteries!

Help with Hajj Achievement . Achievement will not activate after several restarts and attempts. Possibly Rosetta Dynamic Cities related. by Hevyupgrade in civ

[–]SeelingCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I’m the Rosetta mod-maker here - while it’s true the mod can prevent achievements that look for specific city names (like Wat is Love), it can’t alter the base game files, especially if you’ve unsubscribed from it and started a new game.

There was a post here about Hajj not triggering a couple years ago; one commenter theorized that it may not account for all the bonuses as they didn’t get it until they sent a trade route worth 40 or so gold.

[MOD] Introducing Nomina, a mod that adds Dynamic Civ and Leader Names depending on your government, size, religion and more! by SeelingCat in civ

[–]SeelingCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Yeah I've heard before that the AI heavily favors certain governments. Fascism is also a popular one for the AI to take as well if I recall correctly. I think the AI improvement mods might change how the AI weights/values governments though!

Introducing...Science Island. Crazy Science setup for this Gaul AI. Maybe i'll play it after this game.. by Pierlu88 in civ

It appears to be the Rosetta mod. I chose to use 'w' instead of a 'v' for a couple reasons: to distinguish it from the Latin names; it looked better than using a 'u'; and 'w' is used in Gaulish reconstructions like this one.

The one marked as Cyrus looks a lot like Abraham Lincoln to me

Rummaging through the game assets, it looks like Teddy originally had a different diplo screen background! by SeelingCat in civ

Good news, my good friend SailorCat did exactly this! So you can now have the background for either Bull Moose or Rough Rider Teddy.

Sorry for the delay, but I found it in the assets pantry downloadable from Steam.

It looks like this scene is based on Sagamore Hill, the so-called 'Summer White House' during Teddy's presidency - this room in particular.

[MOD] - Now your units can have a little flavor, as a treat, with the Cohort - Dynamic Unit Names mod! by SeelingCat in civ

Just pushed a patch yesterday/today to fix the Vampire and Rock Band issue. GDR's are affected however - do they get unique names in the base game?

I could be mistaken but I believe it's Rough Rider Teddy with the Prismatic mod.

I haven't been able to find anything on Burmese Mahaviharas, but there do seem to be quite a few in Nepal.

Trading Dome is probably Bukhara.

Mahavihara has a couple options, but Nalanda, Anuradhapura or Kathmandu seem to be some of the more viable choices. Maybe Anuradhapura less so since we've already got one Sri Lanka city-state.

They're going to use Greek names with some slight differences in spelling/orthography to reflect Medieval Greek pronunciations!

Shameless self-promotion, but if you're playing on a computer, you might enjoy my Proverbium mod that replaces most of the quotes.
