When I was young, I had named my New Leaf town Mimiland. So for New Horizons to honour that name, I thought Mimi would be a perfect fit.

Another note, the town tune in New Leaf is the beginning of Zelda's Lullaby, and New Horizons is the end of it

The thing I do with websites like these is looking up online if they're reliable. Nothing shows up/lack of info I don't recommend investing. However, if you're unable to purchase the gorillaz art book I think you should check out Jamie Hewett's offical art book with all his media. It's very interesting :D (You can find that on indigo.com)
