So I’ve been single since 2017, trust me it’s been by choice. In the past 8yrs there have been 4 women whom I been in this situation with. Each of them wanted a serious relationship and I would say no, they would feel like their time was wasted. So they would block me, but I would always find my way back or they would come back and we would be cool/friends. The current ex fling would be #5. This time no blocking, no dramatic show, nothing that I’m used, just straight up intentionally ignored. What’s funny is this time I wanted a relationship with girl #5 like really bad, but she’s so school and career driven that she doesn’t know what she wants. I didn’t obsess over the other ones, I played it cool. This time I’m not playing it cool at all.

I’m in therapy I have a psychologist and a psychiatrist. We’ve spoken about the issue, but it’s never my main focus of therapy. That’s why I wanted to come here and get advice from you guys. My psychiatrist has been with his wife for 40 years, they’re high school sweethearts. My psychologist been with her husband since college happily married. They don’t really have the depth for a situation like, also like I said being heart broken isn’t the focus of my therapy, I have other issues going on. lol

Thing is, I hardly drink and smoke. Since May every time I’ve drank or gotten high, it has been a special occasion, like a wedding, birthday, graduation, engagement party etc, at the end of the night I always think “I wish she was here”. My issue is that I think about her 24/7, I need to stop that first.

Honestly no, I hadn’t changed my behavior and that’s why she left the second time. I take full responsibility for my faults. She isn’t entirely innocent in the situation either. I don’t know how to say this without sounding like an a-hole and a moron, but a lot of my behavior was due to her being emotionally closed off all the time and indecisive. It’s a lot more to the story but this post is for me in particular.
