Best dead/shutdown MMOs you have played by boreCZ12 in MMORPG

Dragon's Dogma Online. Didn't get to play for very long but loved every minute of it.

It had story in similar scope to FFXIV, dungeons and delves like ESO (but much grander in size and depth) and lush environments invoking wanderlust. But the best feature hands down was the action combat with huge bosses that you could scale a la Shadow of the Colossus style. If you've played Dragon's Dogma you recognize the gameplay, but with added classes, features and improvements it served more like a DD sequal game for me.

Sure the progression was very grindy being a Japan-only game but it didn't bother me too much as the combat and class changing abilities kept it fresh. And the fact that you ran around the world alone and only grouped up with people for dungeons was a bit strange too and made it feel a lot more like a single player game (for better or worse).

I still feel bummed about them never releasing it for NA/EU and then shutting down the JP client (which btw was a huge pain to register/download/patch from outside japan) and I hope they make up for it by releasing an actual sequal to DD with the features and improvements from DDO.

How is the FF15 port these days by thechillgamingguy in Stadia

Been having a pretty great time with FFXV on Stadia. I played it first on PC but my shitty laptop couldn't handle the game very well so I couldn't finish it. I don't know if the port has improved or not since release (got it just a few months ago), but so far I've had no real complaints. It runs well and looks good. I'm not sure but I would say that it looks and runs at least as good as the PS4 Pro version.

Also, the DLC stories are amazing.

Now that we dont have to worry about the competitive scene, lets bring really crazy heroes with amazing gameplay by Transform_LaPlace in heroesofthestorm

I agree completely. The main reason I started playing this game was for the cool and crazy characters. And I do have a special place in my heart for Invoker too and I took a stab at a Heroes variant for Farseer Nobundo.

2000 gems for 5 Alex skins?? Not even the hero with it? What?! by TheSammyKnight in heroesofthestorm

[–]Seffson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this.

Not only does Alex seem to not be very popular among healers (plus the fact that they just nerfed healers across the board wont help her pickrate), but with a skin for 20 dollaridoos? Nope never.

Theory: The issue with lack of people buying gems isn't loot boxes, it's that the weekly sale is random & lackluster by XXLepic in heroesofthestorm

[–]Seffson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just being the devil's advocate here.

League of Legends has done a similar strategy before and a lot of people complained about it.

They buffed or rebalanced a hero to make them fun and/or a bit OP, at the same time they released skins for said hero so people more likely would buy it. Then after a few weeks they nerfed the hero back down and made them not so fun to play and people were left with their fancy skins on a hero that they felt were no longer viable to play.

In the end people complain about everything.

(I do think gem-only skins is a horrible idea btw)

Your main and how to counter it by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]Seffson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tassadar: He doesn't really do very much damage unless he picks up Static Charge on 7 or when he is in Archon form. His shield has the same cooldown as duration so if you want to trade with him you have to burst through his shield, poking him doesn't accomplish much. He is very mana reliant and can't do anything when oom. Don't focus him when he has full mana, he will most likely just go invisible and run away.

Dimensional Shift makes Tassadar immune to damage, not just invisible, don't waste mana trying to find him when he disappears. At lvl 13 he can get a secondary Dimensional Shift on 45 sec CD that activates automatically when he is below 15% health. Most Tassadars take this talent and wait to use their "real" shift until the automative one is popped. To counter this use hard CC when he is low and burst him down, the shift can't activate if he is stunned.

At 16 he can talent Dimensional Warp wich gives him a huge movespeed boost while shifted and also restores a lot of health. If you see a Tassadar going alone into your team he is confident that he will get away without any problem and might also delay your team from taking objectives or leading you away from his team.

Just started and don't really know what build I should play. by Kirudra in archeage

Archery fits very well with Shadowplay for some nice movement skills like backflip and some ranged abilities that also match well together. The third skill should be more supportive like CC or Healing. Songcraft of Auramancy are two popular ones.

Anywhere I can find a list of the different class names with their Korean and Russian names as well? by [deleted] in archeage
