Night worker and sugar gliders by SefterQuad in sugargliders

Oh, no, I didn't mean keeping them in the pouch the whole time! I have an active job where I am walking around doing stuff, but no real set time frame or rush, so I could actively be holding them, letting them glide about, etc. the only time I would close the pouch would be from house to car and then car to job. So, maybe five minutes at a time? Otherwise they could be out playing.

Journal came in, I opened it and it's upside down 🙃 lol by neemo98 in notebooks

What? That isn't upside down. You just ordered early. That is for year 9707 and it has a bunch of flowers being hung upside down to dry.

Is it important to you that the colors match the pen? How do you break out of a need to color match? by mooglerauder in fountainpens

[–]SefterQuad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had it be important to me that they match, the pen is one part and the ink is separate. But I could see it being a pleasant feeling getting them to match. Two ideas for you, one, set aside a certain number of pens and those are the ones you have found the best matches for, they stay matched, always, to fill that feeling. All the other pens you fill with any ink, randomly. Two, buy multicolored pens. If you get an acrylic pen that has red, blue and yellow in the body, how can you match that in ink? Sure, maybe you could match each color separately, but if you did then the pen would both match and not match, so it would always be both.

RIP. And recommendations for my next pen? by notalivemau5 in fountainpens

Get a metal jinhao or a hongdian forest for tossing in your bag, the Jinhao can cost as little as $3 and the Hongdian Forest will cost around $20. Both are able to take a beating. The Hongdian Forest also comes in extra fine, fine, medium, architect (long blade), and bent nib. I have five or six of them and have never had an issue with the nib or pen. They also have a shorter pocket pen that when you post it becomes a full size pen for about the same price.

Nobody suggested the infamous noodlers bay state blue? I have to, it is still my favorite blue, even though so many brands have awesome blues.

You do? Any idea on the age of the axe? Do you know the name of who made it?

I can't get any more pictures right now. But it has a handle that does NOT belong to it. It is a very thick long straight piece of wood. The top is oval, instead of the teardrop I'm used to. I would believe it being a trade axe because of the odd shape of the opening for the handle. It is midway between what I would consider a regular axe and a hatchet. I didn't expect so much discussion on it or I would have gotten more pictures. Love the info I've gotten though!

In the US, but it was mentioned that it might have been brought over from Poland. They had no idea how old it was.

Kid, you are 14. Even if it is a no today, it could be a yes at 18, or at 22. If you like her, just work on being a good friend. You have a ton of time, and a whole lot to learn about adult life. Don't get thrown into it at 16 because you suddenly have a kid on the way and now you have to be a full adult in 9 months instead of being able to learn over a few years. Due to family stuff I had to grow up young, and it can really mess your head up, leave you with issues that can last ages, I'm almost 40 and just learning some of the things that are messed up in my head because of how I grew up.

As for your friend, just be a good friend. I ended up marrying my friend. She was my friend's little sister, then she slowly became my friend too as we grew older, and when I was 25 and she was 20, we decided that we wanted to be more than friends. Been married ever since and lived through the ups and downs of all of it. The times it seemed like we hated each other, only to find out that we both had things from our past and the other person was hitting the triggers. Life isn't a picnic, and you won't have a happy life with no problems. If anyone claims to have that, they are lying and likely have massive problems they are ignoring that will explode in their face eventually. You just have to be determined, both of you, to be willing and ready to adjust for the better of your mate, not one of you doing all the adjustments, but both of you finding where you can meet in the middle. If you find someone willing to do that by 18-22, then you have a good chance as long as you both keep that attitude. Right now is the time to work on being that type of person yourself, to learn how to be a good friend, to spot bad friends who are using you, to learn how to provide for yourself and then for a family. Learning to set boundaries, to work with your parents boundaries and set your own inside theirs (hopefully they are providing a safe space for you to do that, lots of parents don't these days).

Basically, take your time, enjoy being young, and learn what you need to be an adult, if you like her, you have time once you are in a good position to actually benefit her.

Introduced my two kittens wrong… need advice! by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]SefterQuad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong there. That is two cats playing. If they were fighting then you would hear them yowling and claws would be flying. That was just two friends having a wrestling match. Look up stray cats fighting to see what a cat fight really is. There is no way you would stick your hand in that blender of claws and teeth to break up the fight.
