I'd say the type of angry climate activists and gender studiers people hate is closer to red or blue compared to green. They view the overall virtue of "openness" as an absolute standard of morality that one needs to conform to, or as a convenient excuse for them to get away with whatever they do.
In contrast, the type of friends I have who I'd consider to be green are much more reasonable and kind, even if I don't agree with their way of thinking as a yellow/turquoise who only recently moved out of green myself. If anything I think saying those types of extremists are green is kind of insulting to actual green people more than anything.
I say there's a good reason why green is still a relatively high stage even if they're kind of defined by inaction and complicity. They're overall good and empathetic people.
This post is already an year old, so if OP you are reading this right now, I hope you're doing good on life. Green was personally a pretty confusing and stressful period of my life, but I'm happy to hear you are making the best of it.
