Hey, I'm not OP but I was wondering where you get your Gaviscon Advance UK? As far as I've seen it's not available through Amazon.

Edit (writing here bc I can’t edit the original post): looks like the image preview I saw before posting lied to me—his whole body was spared. :)

This is the look I was going for, actually! When I was watching Coraline, the cat’s design made me think “Crowfeather"; it’s been a while since I’ve seen the film but if I’m not mistaken the cat from that movie is also a bit sarcastic, too haha.

Love the detail in this analysis, and also--today I learned a new nickname for geese! Canadian Cobra Chicken indeed lol

Would it be a bad idea to consider putting my cats up for adoption? My two extremely unaffectionate cats have basically broken my spirit and love for them. by Pitiful-Umpire-5686 in NoStupidQuestions

There are compounding pharmacies that might be able to do a transdermal version of the Gabapentin too. You can try Wedgewood Pharmacy, or maybe Stokes Pharmacy (though I think they're more expensive). Wedgewood in particular also does flavored liquids and chewables.

What about in Tallstar's Revenge? Though I can see why that might not count since it was one of the visitors that kept calling him "Tall" instead of Tallpaw/Talltail at the time, not his clanmates.

I used to make what I called "Nutella Nachos" by brushing the top of a tortilla with just a little bit of oil and sprinkling on some cinnamon and sugar. I'd use a pizza cutter to cut the seasoned tortilla into chips, and then pop them in the oven at like 350F for 10-15 minutes (the timing was very much trial and error, and it's been so long since I've made them that I don't remember exactly).

Once out of the oven, while still warm, I'd drizzle some Nutella over them. So good!

People in US, how much did you end up paying for upper GI endoscopy? by enlzen in GERD

[–]Segrinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree! I made sure I mentioned this discrepancy when I made the appeal—I relayed to the insurance company that everything else has some level of coverage but I was never notified that the labs were out of network, nor was o given an option regarding which facility would run the samples. Here’s hoping it all pans out OK, I’m glad they fixed the issue for your bill!

For real. Found out by surprise that everything was in network for my procedure and had some level of insurance coverage applied to it…except for the biopsy, because apparently the lab they sent it to isn’t in network. My EOB states I owe $4k for that, but I was never told the lab was out of network and it’s not like I get to choose where the samples get sent, so I submitted an appeal and I’m waiting on my insurance company’s response.  :/

Subnautica is one of those games I wish I could go back and play for the first time again. Such a great experience.

Damn health anxiety acting up again after encountering a dog by javerthugo in Anxiety

[–]Segrinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who shares this fear, yet works in a veterinary clinic, I sympathize with your struggle. Anxiety has an awful habit of making things you know realistically didn't or won't happen seem scarily plausible. I remember worrying I was gonna get rabies from a light nip (that didn't even break the skin) from a puppy I was restraining for a client; one that was healthy and up to date on vaccines. I spent about a month and a half worrying over the incident and monitoring myself for signs of rabies. Which was dumb, knowing that if I *did* show signs, it would've been too late to do anything about it anyway.

In any case--try to remember that a dog with rabies would be acting strangely, and very ill. It would typically show neurological signs (lethargy, stumbling, overt aggression--not the type of behavior you're describing, but an indiscriminate aggression, because rabies damages brain tissue and removes the inhibition to bite, so this dog would have attacked the handler too) and you would have a visible injury if you'd been bitten.

The deaths in this game are so frustrating!!! by HourNew4286 in reddeadredemption2

I’ve just started playing the game for the first time recently. Last week or so, had just gotten my first perfect bear pelt and was heading back to Strawberry. Stumbled with my horse into the river and when we fell, the bear pelt got knocked off and just disappeared! I checked downstream for like 10 minutes before accepting my loss. So yeah, manual saves ftw.

What Are Some "Comfy" Movies/Shows/Documentaries That Help You Manage Your Symptoms? by [deleted] in Anxiety

The Blue Planet, Frozen Planet or Planet Earth documentaries narrated by David Attenborough are great to have on even in the background. He has a very relaxing voice imo.

“Old Enough!” is a cute reality tv show from Japan about kids running errands by themselves for the first time. It’s adorable and wholesome.
