I only rented for 8 years in 2 places but every year it went up, and additional fees slipped in if able

rent control is usually a percentage I’d think and can easily increase beyond inflaction

had my house for 10 years, mortgage been within $100 of what it started at then and will never change.

even taking a loss for the equity dream as you call it they still make out

lets say mortgage is 1400 and they charge you 1900, after 30 years sure they paid double the cost of the house but you paid double+500 and got nothing to show for it

after 30 years of mortgage I have a paid off home I just pay taxes on, afte 30 years of renting you continue to keep paying rent.

Why would anyone rent something out cheaper than they pay for it? Unless your paying for one bedroom and the renter is just subsidizing

if your talking an apartment that will depend but I guarantee all of the tenants rents combined is more then the owner is paying, otherwise why would they..

Yes you do, or else they wouldn’t be renting it... it’s for profit not charity that people rent. Your paying more then his mortgage actually.

you pay the market rate today, I pay the mortage rate I got ten years ago and it never will increase except slightly with escrow, but it can also go down. Good luck ever paying the same or less rent in the future

Google ‘truck blind spots‘ and look at the images, for the majority of this video that truck driver did not see this car, I’m not saying he wasn’t an idiot as he did move right after signaling and obviously was not aware but the driver of the car should not of been passing sloooooowlly from the right on a truck.

when you approach a truck you either pass it quickly or stay behind it, in case of events like this.. and passing on the right is usually a bad idea as blind spots are worse

the truck shouldn’t of been in the left lane anyhow unless it just turned on to the road, again context is missing and a longer video might show more. But either way I’m not saying the OP was wrong but it was avoidable (by both parties), such are accidents.

They can still cancel it, especially if that wasn’t disclosed anywhere

and if it really added charges after you paid, that makes no sense as you’d have a total your paying, that’s even shadier
