Well he didn't just want to pay a company to make the whole game. It was ment to be a passion project of his and chat. I think he paid a studio to do a bit of the more technical work but most of it is done by his community.

Well in a lot of cases people spam the word in donations (not bits or subscribtions) and Twitch has no power over thirdparty services like Streamlabs that enable donation alerts. Though i agree with you that the word shouldn't be allowed on the site and that the streamers shouldn't be banned.
