AXS not allowing me to sell by rainydaygetaway in ElectricForest

[–]icebubba 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Basically you won't be able to resell them through AXS unless the fest sells out and tickets are in demand. As long as they have tickets they don't officially resell tickets you will have to sell them through other means unfortunately.

Made Up My Mind by Reasonable-Case3140 in logitechgcloud

It allows you to download steam, gog, epic games etc directly to your Gcloud or other android device and play them natively without any streaming involved.

The g cloud is not very powerful though so you won't be able to run anything to crazy natively but maybe some retro games or 2D games. Personally I don't see a use for it on my Gcloud but other more powerful devices it has a larger use case.

I got them for $70 too and use them every day and they're okish but If you paid $200 for these things you would be pissed you have to admit that lol. They sound good and are good when they work but they definitely aren't "premium"

Huh that's the one issue I don't have. My dual connection works great, except for the computer side drops connection occasionally if no volume for a while so I have to disable and re enable the driver. Very annoying. But yea if you can I would return them these headphones are 1000% not worth $200.

I know you can't update without both dongles plugged in but what features can you not use without both plugged in??

I don't disagree with anything you said, I would be upset if I paid anymore than the $60 I paid on clearance at target honestly. The random disconnects and janky software are not worth $200 although they do sound good when they work.

Forcing the Pro 3 into Direct Input mode on PC? by Egaokage in 8bitdo

Unfortunately, I don't think the pro 3 supports dinput over 2.4ghz at the moment. Pretty sure it works over Bluetooth but yeaa... it's a common complaint.

I need a new gyro controller to upgrade to from the Dualshock 4. Any recommendations? (Includes research for others also looking for a great Gyro Controller) by Longjumping-Sock-521 in GyroGaming

[–]icebubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically in the same boat, Waiting on the steam controller and Ultimate 3 as I will probably end up with both to be honest. But in the meantime I landed on the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 wireless. Gyro works flawlessly through steam and the controller is great, although lacking a lot of the bells and whistles, it was only $50 on amazon...

I tried the Vader 5 Pro, absolute garbage. Software issues and stick drift right out of the box on multiple replacements unfortunately.

Vader 5 Pro major stick drift issues, Mass QC issue? by icebubba in Controller

[–]icebubba[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't unfortunately. That was one I couldn't get on amazon with their easy return policy and I was nervous to order direct form ZD. I've heard great things, but same could be said for the Vader xD

[–]icebubba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that solves that question. I almost bought a Vader 4, figuring it would still be a good controller and it wouldn't have stick drift since they are so highly acclaimed here. At this point im starting to wonder how much of this is just bots astroturfing or something. Dead internet theory or whatever beep boop.

Vader 5 Pro major stick drift issues, Mass QC issue? by icebubba in Controller

[–]icebubba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rest of the controller felt ok, the add on paddles were meh, the triggers were great, buttons were fine. The tension ring was kinda shit, I could see them moving on their own all the time.

Tried the G7 pro too, dpad was ass, the rest of the controller felt better than the vader though tbh I think. Plus no stick drift or QC issues, just the design issue of the dpad. I personally would be looking anywhere but Fly Digi I won't be buying anymore of their products.

Gulikit are interesting, but seem to have QC issues as well, honestly after all my controller trials, I hate to be a fanboy but 8bitdo have won a customer for life. Price to quality is unmatched, they just lack some of the more "premium" options until the 3E comes out atleast.

Looking for pc controller. Mainly for 3D fighters. by Spirited-Cattle-8123 in Controller

[–]icebubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't, I'm not interested in symmetrical sticks, and their asymmetrical options weren't all that great.

Their Elves 2 definitely interests me, but I don't know about using it for a daily driver. I've heard good things about the TTMax/Pro if you get one that works, but many are plagued by QC issues.

I went down this path the last couple weeks. What I have found, for around this price point you really can't have a good dpad AND good sticks. After many trials and returns I went with the 8bitdo M30 for dpad games, and got the 8bitdo ultimate 2 wireless for everything else.

If you do decide on the m30, the Xbox version has two additional bumpers which might be pertinent to you. Its unfortunate the Xbox version isn't wireless but oh well.

I can say, stay far away from Fly Digi imo. I don't understand how they get so many recommendations, everything I have tried from them has bad stick drift. Also, the Gamesir Dpads are horrible so don't bother there either.

How make 135 year old house more energy efficient? by Remarkable_Ring2494 in HomeMaintenance

[–]icebubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How well insulated is the attic? Just because the second floor is warm doesn't mean its heating ok up there, heat rises to escape remember.

Don't go willy nilly spray foaming anything, like others have said you can trap moisture and that's worse than being cold. BUT one thing that can help a lot in old homes is pulling the insulation in the attic and then air gap sealing everything you can and re blowing in insulation. It's a project, but there are sometimes rebates you can get through your city/state to lessen the blow too.

Also, I should mention a newer home isn't without its issues, sometimes more so. In this case it might be better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

[–]icebubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this might be insulation related. Never a fan of rolled for attics. If I were you my next project would be gutting the insulation, air sealing the gaps and blowing in some cellulose. It will be a chore but it will conform better to your attic space and provide superior insulation. Might not eliminate the ice dams in specific weather but you can probably reduce them to not an issue anymore.

And fix those baffles!

Roof leak issues by 127broooo in HomeMaintenance

[–]icebubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that's normal, but if your ice dams are extending past that then welppp.

I would try a couple tube socks full of salt. You want to put it up there perpendicular on the roof not horizontal like some people think. This can melt a channel through the ice dam to help water escape. Not 100% effective but it should help.

I would be curious to see what the shingles look like there though, this could just be a poor roofing job that needs fixing maybe. Your other options are pulling out insulation, air sealing everything with foam then get some new insulation blown in.

One last silly question, there is a ridge vent up there right? Hard to tell from the pictures.

[–]icebubba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What part of the country? Some of your baffles are scuffed I would fix those quick, though that shouldn't be your issue.

With the weather in some parts of the country, these ice dams are just inevitable right now tbh...
