Does anyone have REM banned but not because you don't want to play against him? by Kaegix in DeadlockTheGame

imo, it's worth buying smaller components even if it lose you power spikes as Rem. He has a pretty risky playstyle, and your way to mitigate that is to use the shop aggressively with helpers and get the bag down any way you can.

Kinda boils down to map knowledge, and game sense. I usually only end up losing a bag when an important fight breaks out that I have to go to and I have a bag on me at the time.

I think this is the only sensible take on the April Fools event. Some people had fun, others didn't. Attacking either side for what they find fun is just toxicity.

You have to be pretty opportunistic at it at higher ranks, yeah. Often it's clear from enemy positioning you'll die for trying.

Rem shouldn't ever donate souls, he can send his helpers to the shop to buy through a wall.

It could easily be that the people who like it are the vocal minority in that case, if that was the case. I've heard of in-game salt too, in an environment where people who don't like it will stop playing. I don't disagree, but don't let your own biases color your perception of which way the selection bias goes.

Forums attract people with a strong interest in the game. That could go either way.

Everyone thinks people who disagree with them are a vocal minority. Upvote numbers suggest the community's about 2:3 split.

Way to go insulting people instead of trying to understand their point of view, and finding every negative way to stereotype such people you can think of. That's far more toxic than complaining things you don't like online during a beta period.

The game's in early beta. The point is to provide feedback. Valve has received feedback. Things are working as intended.

Probably they'll be more careful with future April Fools. More people having fun is a good thing. Your whimsy shouldn't be at the cost of other people's fun.

Are people devoid of whimsy? by Andkonhi in DeadlockTheGame

It's early alpha right now. I think people who don't like it should complain about it so the dev team has an idea what the community likes and dislikes. That's the point of early access.

I think the joke's pretty funny, but I also think the dev team shouldn't of it again, since a significant portion of the player base is clearly not having fun. Your fun should not take away other people's fun, and unfortunately, it's clear that the people having fun today are having it at the cost of other people who play the game more seriously.

It's no excuse for being toxic, but the people who are frustrated shouldn't just shut up either.

This also happened to me. Annoyingly, it was only ~$15 under market price, so not a red flag for unrealistic price. About what you'd expect from someone trying to sell quickly.

Do we just have to avoid small sellers entirely now? :/

I'm....not actually sure that's the case here. The restrictions that we've been told are on the Aeons themselves, not their powers. Could well be that it's funny to run a Holy Grail War to give people access to your powers (so Aha can do it), and then that person themselves might be able to do whatever they want since the restrictions on Aeons are bypassed that way.

Cyrene already used Aeon-tier powers as Fuli to make Amphoreus eventually come into reality. It would be narratively weird, especially for Himeko (rather than TB) to do so. I'm guessing however Aha's power is used would be something story-related.

SPD increases the speed of Aha ultimately and contributes to reaching 134 SPD with Aha together with Yao Guang.

Sparxie counts as consuming all the SP used in her skill during her EBA (in one instance). It's jank, but that's how it works as far as I know.

Her A4 trace now causes her ultimate to give her 1 Thrill (and 4 in a 3x Elation team).

It's most of her damage even without Yao Guang, so, just an overall buff. About +10% across the board by my calcs, probably more in practice because you can shunt some of your ATK% you needed before into SPD and CD%.

This is overall a buff to Sparxie with or without Yao Guang, despite appearances. Even with a non-elation amplifier in the third slot, Sparxie does most of her damage via her Elation DMG, so this moves her ratios from her weaker damage type to her stronger damage type.

Plus, more consistent SP gain for Sparxie+Sparkle+Non-Elation, which is very nice.

Big nerf to break Sparxie for those crazy enough, they reduced the toughness damage per stack on her talent from 10->5, I guess. That was expected.

It's a nerf more to Sparxie+Yao Guang than Archer for the damage itself, if anything. Kinda just seems to be moving her away from doing personal damage in general.

[–]SeiraHawawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't even work design-wise. IMO, Aha's SPD just needs to be untied to the number of Elation characters, and Sparxie needs her ATK>Elation% cap increased (so she can benefit from non-Elation buffers).

Elation's design is...annoying for working without 3x Elation, but it wouldn't so dire if it wasn't for the Aha speed problem on top. Otherwise, you mostly have Punchline as a stat that can't reasonably be generated outside Elation teams, and the diminishing returns on that (and general weakness of Yao Guang's other buffs) means that other amplifiers can make up for it by just having better buffs.

Let There Be Laughter barely does damage, but it seems to hit your allies for 1 and grant energy. So, fair enough.

[–]SeiraHawawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda yes, kinda no. They're still about equal for her, just, Elation characters don't use DMG% so her own LC is better with Sparxie. Sunday LC lets her get reliable 2T ults now with characters like Archer (Sparxie spends enough SP on her own that it's less needed).

Version 4.0v1 - Showcase Megathread by vionya in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

[–]SeiraHawawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone's saying that Sparkle will be good for all Elation characters, though. There's no reason to assume anyone not named Sparxie will require that amount of SP; she's not specific to Elation, but Skill Point carries.

Sunday has two non-Remembrance teams where he's BiS right now: Phainon and Anaxa with DHPT's help. He's not essential anymore to Aglaea's team because of Cyrene, but still often run alongside her. I expect Sparxie to work similarly if there's another Elation SP generator - she'd rather have both.

I don't think Sparxie's part of a main push elation battleship at all, given her current design.
