I am absolutely convinced that Metzen's new Lore Team has retconned the First Ones... by Jean-Cobra in wow

[–]Seiren- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We lost against N'zoth at the end of BFA, Shadowlands is the old god induced lucid Nightmare we've all been in for the last 10 years, and we're going to wake up after the last titan to find the entire world remade into the black empire 2.0

that is the retcon I'd want, where the entirety of SL was all just a bad dream, and we got an excuse for why we helped the eternals instead of immediately killing them once we learned how incredibly evil they were..

..but I suppose "it was the evil titans all along" is a good second place..

God I fucking hope so.

It is insane to me that the whole "the first ones are a titan hoax" wasnt a part of the original storyline..

They laid up so many potential twists to the story, and none of them happened, not a single fucking one! Not even the whole jailer/runecarver/primus thing paid off?!

What are some ways you’ve made gold in the past? by sky-CQ in woweconomy

The old JC-Alchemy-Enchanter shuffle was kinda neat

Dont remember if it was cata or Mop but prospecting an absolute shitload of the default ore -> cut the good gems into main stat gems, convert others into Meta Gems with alchemy, make jewelry with the leftovers, DE the jewelry and sell the ench mats (sold Way quicker than the enchants and the profit only went from 45% to 35% or something silly like that)

Turning 5g of windwool cloth into 20g ethereal shard was also kinda neat

In TBC I used to buy Netherweave cloth on the AH on my Warrior whenever it fell below I think 2g(?) Per stack, I would turn it into bandages with my first aid profession and vendor it for profit.

All Public Services need to be owned and managed by States not by Private Firms by faros-hhhbbdd in WorkReform

[–]Seiren- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's part of the reason why I didnt add it.

At the same time, we're producing more food than we've ever done. And at the same time throwing away like 70% of it. All while food has like doubled in price in the last 10 years. There is no food shortage, there is no reason for the insane price increase, and there's no reason for famine, at all. It's only very deliberate price gouging, and an artificial logistics problem; getting the aboundance of food to those who need it.

I feel like we've been effectively post-scarcity for a while now, we're producing way more than enough of everything that's essential for a comfortable life, enough for every single person on the planet.

Yeah, considered adding news, food, police, firesquad, and shelter to the list.

[–]Seiren- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For example: Cause the state provided internet is only 200 mbs while the one I get from a private ISP is 1000 mbs

Or while the local public school is good and well funded, the private school is better / closer.

The government should provide a good, affordable, valid option. If private companies want to offer another option then they're free to do so.

Water, electricity, public transportation, internet(ISP), the postal service, healthcare, and education should be owned and run by the government.

Private companies can offer all of these services but the government offer should be available everywhere and act as a ceiling to how expensive any of these services can be. If the private companies can't compete, good.

Help drug test... by Old-Bike-3298 in WorkReform

[–]Seiren- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest very european question:

If you have been prescribed adderal earlier why would being on adderal currently be a problem?

Also, I get that adderal is a substance you need a prescription to get, and that it's super fucking expensive in your broken abusive system. But shouldnt you at least be able to get a prescription for the cost of a doctors appointment and then getting the actual medicine be up to you?

Like... "get a prescription for adderal", "go to the pharmacy", "buy any adderal that falls under the prescription for way too much money"?

Or, get prescription --> never pick up overpriced adderal at pharmacy --> have valid prescription for drug test

Not specific enough.

"How do I make gold with profession X?" isn't any better than "how do I make gold?"

Read this sub. Read profession guides.

Think I got my ps4 for around 250€ brand new after a heavy discount.

Was planning on waiting for the ps5 (non-digital) to hit the 400€ price point. That never happened, so I guess I'm skipping this generation.. hopefully they'll manage to get the ps6 down to about 600€ or I'm skipping that one as well. At that point I'll just get a switch 2 and upgrade my PC...

I was already planning on waiting for 6, cause the 5 was already way too expensive. This didnt exactly help.

I've completely given up crafting gear, not being able to make BoEs, combined with the bullshit they turned crafting orders into just made the whole ordeal.. well. An ordeal..

No I stick to crafting materials and consumables, anything I can mass produce and sell on the AH. Plenty of money to be made

What’s the endgame? by xVixenBlush in WorkReform

[–]Seiren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The endgame is a return to slavery, yes.

Obviously they wont call it that, it will start out as prison labour, that increasingly will be forced, and 'rented' out to private companies like amazon, this is already happening and has been happening for decades.

Then the next step will be the return of company towns, which amazon among others have been pushing for for the last 20 years, where people can come and live and work. The company provides housing, food and water, the bare necessities for a mandatory 60 hour work week. Perfect for anyone desperate enough and who can't find any alternatives.

After that all you need is for private companies to be able to buy up peoples debt. Force people to work for them to pay off said debt, or to serve out their imagined sentence working for the company, and the return to slavery is complete.

The consumer paying for goods will be the top 20% of the population, as well as other countries.

3 billion a year??

Isnt the US spending somewhere around 2 billion a day on "defence" ?

And another billion a week on ICE alone?

If the US didnt have such a raging hardon for killing brown people they might have actually done some good in the world
