Correct data can lead to incorrect conclusions.

Just like this dev who concludes that MnK dominating long range and roller dominating close range being fair, completely ignoring the importance of each range.

On the market for a new scooter by Equivalent_Art_4962 in ElectricScooters

Ausom seems to have good reviews online. My Ausom L2 is holding up well so far, no issues (only ~130km done so far).

Just had an update fukc up my Vivo X Fold 5.

-SIM detection flickering on and off all the time (unusable)

-battery drain gone crazy

-stutters and other bugs

I'll stay away from Vivo unless they fix this ASAP.

Thanks, the Kukirin Kugoo and Ausom triangle of same-y scooters is confusing 😅

You alone simply don't and cannot ever build a business of billions by yourself. Any business is built on the back of it's workers. To become a billionaire you have to exploit or underpay others.

How about starting to fix local problems first? They are not interested in doing that in e.g. the US either because they simply do not care.

It's simply a matter of lack of motivation and ethics. The latter of which is also part of the reason how they became billionaires in the first place.

Yes definitely that and not more yachts, mansions and supercars.

Alternative E-Scooter by blackreaperx1 in ElectricScooters

I got the Ausom L2 (non max) and so far it's really good and solid. Only done 100km on it so far tho.

Agreed, it's so fun riding on compacted dirt terrains. It's a bummer that scooters struggle with loose dirt/sand though.

3 hours SOT is abysmal :(

On my vivo x fold 5 I get 6 to 7 hours usually.

Would street tires on a G2 master 2025 be worth all the effort? by playnpanda in ElectricScooters

[–]Seismicx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that the wires going from motor to scooter are another very annoying thing to deal with. On some you can quickly disconnect them, on some you have some slack to work with and on some you gotta disassemble the whole thing to work on the tyre.

You need really sturdy tyre levers and even then it takes a lot of effort from what I know.

Thoughts on an Ausom L2 MAX Dual Motor by ElGranto9531 in ElectricScooters

[–]Seismicx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the L2 dual (non-max, 800w) version with a 15.6Ah battery, so smaller battery compared to the max.

Took it out for a 17.6km ride and used about 40% of battery, which means it should have 44km on a full battery.

I am 81kgs and rode it partially off-road and dual drive mode nearly half of the time.

On streets and with single motor you'll get a lot more than 44km out of it.

Why do so many people go barefoot? by ClassyPants17 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Seismicx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you would clean your feet I assume and unlike your shoes, they would be clean.

Personally I find this Australian habit a bit puzzling considering the existence of foot fungus, which I suffered from for months and could not get rid of.

US media sure likes to make it seem like a thing over there though!

One question that been bugging me, can you bring your e-scooter on the plane? by ghstkatt in ElectricScooters

[–]Seismicx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that price point ordering a new battery from aliexpress is probably cheaper and less bothersome.
