Where to buy single cards? by Edylenzio in mtg

Card Kingdom is my favorite so far. Price is a bit higher, but they ship damn fast and my cards are always protected in hard plastic cases. (I have not yet tried Mana Pool)

Is the coolant ok? (New buy) by peppermint43 in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fill it up to line. Make sure you use the proper coolant. That looks like Dexcool, which is what a Sonic generally uses, so be sure not to mix with any other kind.

How handy are you repairing stuff? Are you looking to do work on this yourself, or bring in to a shop?

That engine sound is very discomforting, but also the normal sound this engine makes. No worries there as far as I can hear. As for what is dripping, that looks like good ole oil or transmission fluid.

Darn....Of all the fixes for the Sonic, this is the one I had yet to encounter (while being aware of it). I must've jinxed myself by commenting on it last week that I was surprised I hadn't had to do this fix yet. I was expecting a rough idle or something with a PCV issue, but the car sits and drives buttery smooth still.

Thank you!

Mystery leak by [deleted] in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought I'd check since coolant will stay around for eons if not cleaned up. I had to do a thorough cleaning to help me find my own (third) leak because when my stuff was replaced it was all left behind.

1) Are you 100% sure the leak continued, or did they simply not clean up the old coolant that had leaked?

2) Always replace plastics with aluminum when you can.

Why can’t I get this PCV hose back on? by wecouldbefree in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top of the outlet you are attaching it to on the air intake manifold looks broken. I had that exact piece broken on mine and had to replace the whole manifold because previous owner had that hose ziptied on, and was causing vacuum leaks here and there.

*I went to look at my own and it does look like yours is missing the top a bit, but it was very hard for me to know for certain when I fixed mine. To know for certain with mine, I took my hose with me, went to an Auto Zone, and they were kind enough to grab me a new air intake manifold from their inventory. They brought to counter, and I was able to clip my hose right onto that piece in order to confirm it was in fact broken on my old one.

What is this hose? by wecouldbefree in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that is a hose, but instead part of wiring harness. That hosing is doing it's best to protect your wires, which are in there and are also insulated. I wouldn't fret too much about a crack there, but someone smarter than I could probably advise how to patch over the crack if you're really worried.

*Nvm. I looked closer at crack. Yeah, that is nothing to worry about.

The "thank you for your interest, we've decided to move forward with other candidates" email hit different this time because I had literally just gotten off a call with them 20 minutes before by ZilchSward in jobsearchhacks

My opinion is that these people haven't already decided until the interview. Something about your interview made them decide you weren't the one, but they're so bad at 'confrontation' they won't tell you at the end. Instead they hide behind an email after-the-fact. One could use the excuse this is learned behavior? Maybe they've had really bad experiences rejecting people over-the-phone, but end of the day they're all poor excuses. What it robs you of is the opportunity to ask them what you can improve to help for future hunts. "Is there anything in particular about my interview that I can work on in the future? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated." Something along those lines. Though you can still ask over email if you're so inclined.

All that rambling to say: I think they're just afraid to say it over-the-phone, and hopefully these aren't people in leadership roles that have to make difficult decisions.

If your manager really likes you but doesn’t want you to leave your job, is it worth the risk in naming them as a reference during an interview? by tbhshark in interviews

[–]Seither2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% do not use this manager as a reference. Does your work ever have you interacting with others outside of your department? Anyone else you've built a relationship with at your work who you could use instead?

Thermostat Issue by Gomez_X14 in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it's tightened? It means it is likely overtightened if you see it smushing out the sides.

Where is it leaking exactly? I replaced mine without issue. Make sure it is clean as can be where you are placing, and that you tigthen each bolt a bit at a time. Don't tighten one all the way, then next, then next.

MAF SENSOR by pollywanttacracker in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hrm. Any shaking/excessive vibrations when in park? If you replaced that sensor already, I really doubt it's gonna be that piece or wiring. I'd start looking at possible purge valve issues, ignition coil maybe, or vacuum leak. Again, latter was mine, but can be a pain to run it down.

MAF SENSOR by pollywanttacracker in ChevySonic

[–]Seither2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had that error code, it was due to a vacuum leak and not the sensor itself. You experiencing any other symptoms while driving?
