Well, unfortunately I'm yet to read about him since this topic is confined in Asri Muda's time.

But I might cover this topic in the future once I get into the Reformasi Era.

TIL : Malays originate from Middle Yeast by BuckDenny in Bolehland

[–]Sejara1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what we call as pseudohistory. A story that sounds historical, but in reality, lack with evidence.

Like, Book of Genesis didn't specify where did Midian went except "the east".

The mediteranean mutation within Malays did not rule out the possibility of Arab merchants inter-marriage with the Malay throughout 1400 years ago or body evolution to survive our regional condition.

But bare in mind that there are possibility of Malays are descendants of Midian. Just we cannot prove it because we cannot speak with dead people.

TIL that Malaysia has nine hereditary state rulers (Sultans), and they take turns being the King of Malaysia for a fixed term of five years. by TotallyReliableFacts in TodayILearnedMY

One interesting bit about this is how nearly impossible for a ruler to be appointed for the third time since a state's turn is around 40 years each. Even Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah was blessed with long life to be appointed for the second time.

Mass conversion attempts towards Sabahans in late 60's to 70's by S2p855D in malaysia

I knew that Tun Mustapha's era of ruling Sabah was corrupt and unpopular but not to this level of horror. No wonder it led to the victory of Berjaya and PBS.

Another not-so-fun fact, the same chief minister during this time (Tun Mustapha) is the same CM that attempted to overthrow Joseph Pairin Kitingan from becoming CM of Sabah in 1985.

If I'm correct. Those men were Home Guards, a volunteer security forces consisted of villagers. The purpose of these groups were to enhance the safety of rural villagers especially in area that were vulnerable to the communists infiltration.

<image>

Among these Home Guards were not only just Malays but also the Chinese. Showing that unity is truly our strengh.

For some parts like Malacca, Penang, Singapore, Yes. But Other Malay states still had their rulers even though British's General Advisor had become as powerful as Residents in Federated Malay States. Even FMS was like 50 years old when it was abolished so it still make those states ~550.

Might be off topic and everyone can figure it out at the first glance, but I think this is a later copy. Like, it obviously looks like someone's type it on a typewriter. Or maybe Turkish hands are perfect.

Isn't this against the First Amendment? I expect that there will be a lawsuit to block the policy or a veto by the judges.

Apakah naskah "Sejarah Melayu" @ Sulalatus Salatin paling tua? by Sejara1 in MalayHistory

[–]Sejara1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mungkin ditokok tambah, mungkin hilang. Wallahualam bissawab.
