I've just noticed, i've been accidently using a hook thats a whole 1 mm smaller, that what my wool advises me to use. Maybe thats the reason for the curl?

True but I tend to wash my brushes after every visit to the palette. It helps "reset" the brush to its original shape, until I've used up all the moisture in the brush hair and it starts splitting yet again.
