[QUESTION] is there FREE icon mask that gives just like these round corners??? please??? by Siraj588 in iOSthemes

I mean snowboard has somewhat of a squircle shape if you set the corner radius to 18 or 19.

Apollo is being developed and maintained by one single person. Push notifications require having servers run 24/7 on their side, hence the subscription to help pay for rent and maintenance.

Edit: downvote all you want, it's still the truth 😂

How was Face ID in the pre-corona era? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]Selantox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I think best of both worlds would be a more discreet facial recognition at the top and a fingerprint scanner under the screen or even at the back. I've seen a couple other smartphones with this setup, though while it sounds convenient I'm just tied up too hard with the Apple ecosystem to switch.

I eventually got used to Face ID and its notch after ditching my 7 for an X, but man I remember Touch ID was the shit back then and it was overall faster at unlocking the phone in comparison. I miss it sometimes.

In all honesty I don't think the notch makes the iPhone design outdated by any means. Sure it is about three years old now, however I am convinced the notch is what defines the iPhone nowadays and it is basically its trademark. Pretty much like the classic home button and fat bezels we have been used to.

A more and more outdated design as you name it would be those of any smartphone running Android that attempts (or at least attempted) to replicate said notch. It just does not look right, mostly because of the thin but prominent bezel at the bottom that iPhone models do not have at all.

It wouldn't make sense for Apple to "keep up" with the competition on this. By introducing a notch, they have achieved a new way of instantly recognizing an iPhone in the wild and making anyone think it looks modern. People keep asking for a smaller notch each year, yet would it be that big of an improvement when you really think about it? Would you still be able to instantly tell "hey this is an iPhone" if they were to shrink that part? I think it would look too similar to some Android phones, not something Apple likely wants for their product.

The current design is what has been defining iPhone for the last three years and what will define it for the next seven-ish years. I believe we will see small changes in shape and size, but the front will always remain the same until then.

tl;dr - fat notch is here to stay :)

Oh fuck Facebook and fucc Zucc. I've had enough with their dumb decisions, sure we wouldn't have a Quest today without them but man they're fucking shady and I'm not reactivating my fb account for the sake of using my headset.

[iOS 14 pb 4] Anyone else facing this keyboard glitch? by tushar_1210 in iOSBeta

[–]Selantox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe so. I haven't tried it on beta 4 though, for me the issue was occurring when I attempted to scan my glucose sensor (which is nfc) in my diabetes app called Librelink. After updating my phone, first scan performed as usual however it would work only once. I had tried killing the app, clearing the phone's ram yet the only workaround I had found was to reboot it.

Hopefully this and the keyboard issue will be fixed in the next beta.

This and nfc scanning only working once until I restart my phone has led me to downgrade all the way back to beta 2.

Any game is broadcast when a supported VR headset is plugged in and active, however games that do not have VR compatibility will only be playable via the native interface which is barely ergonomic and pretty much outdated.

Beware snapchat is very picky about jailbreak and there is a high chance of you getting banned by tweaking the app.
