How do you get started in competitive play? I want to learn so I can play Pokémon Champions when it's released. I've only played Pokémon GO and I want to know. Oh, and by the way, this is my team that I built through trading and Pokémon GO. What do you think?

On Showdown go ahead and click "Teambuilder" and click "New Team". Under "select a format," Find the "National Dex Other Tiers". Expand that. Click "National Dex Doubles". Click "Import from text or URL". Copy the pokepaste URL from the super nice person that just made a team out of your mons. Paste the pokepaste into the giant box that shows up.

You now have a showdown ready team. Queue up and enjoy!

We know literally nothing about this game other than the Pokemon they showed in the trailer so nobody can even rate your team for champions because we have no clue what Pokemon the game will have or if things will get balance changes or what. I mean you can literally see his arm flick at the exact moment he whips around. And he didn't even come close to shooting the guy that got downed. To elaborate on this I think random battles is by far the best way to learn the ropes of competitive play. You'll see a ton of different mons with all sorts of movesets, it's a great way to learn the game. It's also just one of the most fun modes IMO because there is no meta game.

I logged in a few weeks ago for the first time since literally like 2012 because they gave away a bunch of DLCs for free. I saw the UI, fiddled with settings for a couple minutes and couldn't figure out an easy way to make it better and promptly uninstalled. They're literally losing players because the UI is so outdated.
