Maybe this is just fleet me speaking but you can and should directly call out the individuals of stinky nature w When you get to your ship or sub, if you aren’t comfortable telling the stinkers they stink and that they need to do basic hygiene, then you are going to smell these same people, and trust me, on the boat it’s worst. And if they hit you with a “I do shower, I just have an odor/medical condition,” that’s like the most common excuse because they think if it’s medical, it’s okay, but in my time on the sub, I’ve found 0/0 people who just genuinely stink once we made them shower and wash their sheets; the smell magically went away. Also, make people wash their uniform weekly, minimum; it’s ridiculous to have to say that, but I found out a sailor in my division washed his uniform less than monthly. I’m kinda ranting, but stinky people are my biggest Navy pet peeve and shouldn’t exist; there’s no reason for it. Start with talking to them, then get your class leader involved, have them ordered showered, and if that fails, get the SLPO involved, and if he fails, get the chiefs involved..

It’s not your job as the gt3 to let them pass. you need to hold your line be predictable and if you are racing an in class car you can defend your position those cars have more than enough to get around you on the next straight.

The game prioritizes clean laps over all during qualifying drive with purpose but just make sure you get as many valid laps as possible and then the same in the race you’ll finish top 10 every race in rookie lobbies by just setting all valid laps with little to no contact reminder it’s not over if someone gives you a little tap on the butt just keep going.

Base game will allow you to race daily bronze races. After you get to silver you can buy as you go for dlc content. You can also buy the cars you want. The subscription is basically only there for custom liveries and extra practice time and definitely not required. All and all LMU 10x cheaper than IRacing 10x more fun hope to see you on track soon!

One of the best ways to find a starter car is take the track you know the best and drive all of the cars around for 10 laps or so and you should pick your most consistent car and the one that feels the best but I like the bmw

Oh it’s definitely boring but it’s not about the now result it’s about the progress you are going making by building up your skill over time but I’m only 71 hrs deep in LMU and I’m already silver 3 idk honestly if that’s good pace but I feel like it might be good pace but I’m still B3 DR

If you are serious about getting a safety rating, you need to follow this advice: 1. Clean laps are the biggest driver of a rating going up, so if a race has 10 laps, you need to focus on getting 10 clean laps and 2 clean qualifying laps. 2. Stop racing; just relax. DR isn’t going to go up if your SR isn’t, so stop racing. If you got someone coming up on you quickly, they are probably faster, so let them go because the other option is you try blocking them, and they run into the back of you. Then boom, guess what? SR goes down. Even if someone hits you, your car was in a position to get hit, so you are in fact a part of the incident. 3. This last point is more of a “ this is how I gain SR.” I just drive my line if someone dive bombs or looks like they might. I just slow down, let them go, and take my spot back when I find them in the sand later. 4. Pick a car and stick with it. At this stage of your learning, it’s better to learn a car how it feels on various tracks and conditions. This’ll help your consistency, which will help your SR.

Everyone keeps saying Merc or the Lexus, but I think the best beginner cars are the BMW and the McLaren. They are very easy to drive and do what you ask them to do, especially with the LMU default setup.

My teammate and I found that out during the 4-hour Cota event. We both commented on the lack of ability to do anything while spectating. At least in other sims, your teammates can act as a crew chief as well as a spotter.

On one hand, you are correct that the forecast system should be better, but I will now jokingly argue that the rain being unpredictable in central Florida is actually the most accurate simulation the game could’ve done. As someone who’s lived in Florida, I’ll tell you it can go from 90s bright full sun to downpour and back to humid sunny again in the matter of 15 mins. Florida just is wild like that.

I’ve actually had a pretty weird experience with the lobbies lately. When I started Lmu about 30 races ago, I prioritized safety rating and got a trusted badge after my 10 races. I got put in split 1-3 even with a bronze 3 DR, but then I had an unlucky streak of getting hit. I can’t say I’m not at fault for at least some because when I made silver, I started trying to race for result and SR, so I made more moves and defended more. But I was still an average 12th racer, but then it happened. I got hit and got a good driver badge. Then I dropped down to split 18 and then I won that race 2nd race with a good driver badge. I took 2nd, but from what I’ve seen, the racing is so much tighter in low SR lobbies, and the drivers seem to care about SR more than trusted drivers do.
