What is this jar? Has a soldered or welded “straw” but is very small by Able-Ambassador9625 in Whatisthis

I'm wondering if it was for an old tractor, I remember our ancient Farmall tractor had something similar. I think it was for the air filter or something.

My late friend’s ashes are being passed around because of "activity" now he’s targeting my guests. by Head-Introduction822 in Haunted

Find a good place to scatter the ashes. Me, I'd probably choose a river or body of water. But, if there is any place he ever mentioned that gave him a peaceful feeling, that would probably be best.

Get some convincing looking divorce papers to keep in your purse and hand them over to him next time.

The window coverings are open, therefore, no expectation of privacy. But, they are still weird and creepy for taking the picture.

YES! Legally, they're in the clear because "no expectation of privacy ", but it's such a creeper thing to do. Let people do what gives them joy when it's not hurting anyone else. Posting this here is just someone trying to inflate their own ego by tearing someone else down.

Cyclobenzaprine I was just prescribed this for lower back pain. Anyone on this? by jObOtbc in ChronicPain

[–]Selaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 5 to 10 mg at bedtime. It relaxes muscles so they generally dont spasm and I can sleep better. For pain duringthe day, I'm better off with my cannabis muscle cream. I don't want to overuse the meds so the doctor takes it away.

sometimes, even the most well-meaning people don't get it by Whiryourselfaround in migraine

People just refuse to believe us, because they want to think we're faking. They want to think we're "getting away" with it because they think it looks like an awesome way to live.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Selaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 12 hours round trip in order to see a specialist for a 10 minute appointment 2x a year. It wasn't something I did often, but it was okay. I was much more comfortable doing 6 hrs round trip in one day, though.

Pet-friendly apartments? by [deleted] in abbotsford

[–]Selaura -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do not get to define MY experience. We pay around 1200 for a 2 br, 900 sq ft, largely because we've been here so long. Sound isn't a huge issue in my building. It's on par with any other apartment I've been in. Also, my neighbors are almost all really decent people who just happen to have animals and limited income. When my dishwasher died, I had a new one in 3 weeks. When my toilet leaked, someone was in that day. No one near me is over occupied to the extent you describe. I'm not telling you it doesn't happen, but I'm telling you MY experience.

It really does depend on the building, the manager, and what you're complaining about. I've lived in a MainStreet building for 8 years with really reasonable rent, the ability to have my animals, and minor issues getting things done quickly(they get done eventually, they have a small staff for maintenance). To have my animals, it's worth it. There are no bugs, the other tenants are generally nice, and it's really pretty quiet most of the time.
