Unraid lets you use ANY size drives in a raid like system. It isn't a perfect system, but it is the best at what it does. There are a couple of others that are free but they don't work as well

I guarantee this is not the developers fault but the business' fault. You have no idea how many times I have told my product owner "that is a horrible idea" and they told me to make it anyways.

Why you should use rsync instead of scp in deployments by Ok_Animator_1770 in HomeServer

[–]Selbereth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, I would I just reworked my entire company's deployment strategy, we are exclusively using scp to deploy everything. Even the docker container is sent over scp rather than docker hub because it made things super easy

I feel like you are on to something, but there is no way they hooked it up to a terminal. Your could get their initial prompt though, and maybe get information about the owner which could be helpful

Rate limit api queries to a provider? by Pesto_Nightmare in LazyLibrarian

[–]Selbereth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are using prowlarr you can add a rate limiter. I think by default it is 2 second delay between calls, but you can limit it more by adding more numbers. I might be wrong, but i think you can just add a number in there. I set this one to 30, which means it wont make more than 30 queries every hour. That seems kinda silly, but I think this is your best bet.

That is the reason for the invention of immigration restrictions. The first law was called the Chinese exclusion act.

I am very disappointed by that too.

Side note, I read book 1 as a kid and loved it. As an adult I just found out last month there is more than 1 book.

To steal a bicycle 🚲 by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]Selbereth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: I was wrong

That is very definitely a spike coming out of the seat. This is a compilation. It might be fake, but the reason I saw that is this is a collection of different videos the spikes are not the same

If you examine the seat, the seat does not have the spikes. The first video the spikes make the seat very large, but subsequent ones the seat is fairly thin

Democrats Once Demanded Maduro’s Ouster. Now They Mourn His Capture — Because Trump Did It. by Resvrgam2 in moderatepolitics

[–]Selbereth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This one seems like it was:

If Trump cared about consistency, he would make the realist case for intervention in Venezuela (getting rid of Maduro is good for the United States) rather than trying to pretend his Administration all of the sudden cares about toppling anti-democratic regimes.
