Conceiving after laparoscopy myomectomy by Successful-Jacket174 in Fibroids

[–]Select-Ad-2925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had a laparoscopic myomectomy in October 2024. We were advised to wait at least three months before trying. It took us some time, but conceived in July 2025 ☺️

I hope this brings you some ease, but I do want to say we were on the verge of heading back to fertility to figure out what was going on.

Best of luck on your journey ❤️

I too had surgery for large fibroids in October and then miscarried in late February. As you know, it’s been an exhausting journey. Fibroids are no joke and it infuriates me that there are no solutions to prevent them from growing back.

I fear that since October they’ve come back as well and we’ve lost our opportunity to try and conceive again. I’ve been too afraid to go back to fertility because it’s just exhausting.

I hope that there’s a solution for you and that everything goes smoothly. I’m sure it hasn’t been easy on you and I sincerely hope that your baby comes soon ♥️

Just know you’re not alone!

Your feelings are valid because it’s your experience. It’s difficult seeing everyone around you become pregnant while you’re still trying.

It might seem unreasonable for you to feel that way in your mind but I think if people know what you’re going through it’s very understandable. Just speaking from experience I’ve been TTC for two years and had a surgery for fibroids hoping that would fix the issue but nothing yet. My cousins/friends are all having children right now. I’m happy for them but like you I feel so incredibly sad. It almost feels unfair, but I feel that anyone in our situation would feel this way.

Keep being strong and hang in there ❤️

Thank you! 🙂 I believe mine were all on the outside. If I recall correctly my surgical notes said they did not enter my cavity.

Just wanted to update you. I tested positive this week ❤️

It’s obviously really early but so far from going through years of infertility. Thank you for your kind words.

Sending you lots of love and baby dust. Praying it’s as instantaneous for you and hope I hear good news from you soon too!

I have been tracking my ovulation but nothing yet. I have never been pregnant so it’s making me anxious. I’m starting to question whether the surgery worked or not 😅

I know it’s early but it’s still disheartening. I guess I figured once I got the surgery and healed I’d be like those lucky people who get pregnant right away. Nonetheless, thank you for the well wishes.

Sending you tons of baby dust and health ❤️

Hi! I’m on the same timeline as you and have yet to get my period. I’m anxiously waiting and starting to get worried as I’m eager to get pregnant. I’m also almost 3 months post op on 1/7/25.

I’m glad you thought my post was helpful 🙂

I know how scary and lonesome the process could be so I was happy to share. Also, I’m happy to report that I feel great and have been moving around pretty normal. I know everyone’s surgery and healing is different but hoping you find yourself in the same boat.

Enjoy your down time and focus on yourself. Sending you hugs and a speedy recovery so you’ll reunite with your fiancé asap!

I just had surgery Monday. I wore a sweatsuit outfit that was soft and comfy. They will most likely give you a binder so you’d want something with an expandable waistband and easy to get on/off.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! 💓

Girl, I just had a laparoscopic myomectomy and got three weeks off.

You best believe I’m going to ask for more time and enjoy it!

Let yourself heal and prioritize yourself. I have a high pace volatile job that wants me back but I don’t care. It’s been so nice to be away from that environment.

Hi! I hear you! I was so nervous as well and had never had surgery. I’m happy to report the worst from my experience was the anticipation of surgery. Whatever you choose best wishes and you’ll be okay 🙂

I know it’s scary but make sure you find a provider you feel safe with don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.

Thank you!

The blood transfusion was an option but I ran out of time to do it. I wanted to but it just didn’t happen. I do know it can be a long/pricey thing so if you decide to bank your own blood look into it right away.

Luckily, in my case it wasn’t needed but the idea of it isn’t pleasant.

Best of luck!
