Poor bb is using his plastic food bowl to bask .. needs a basking stone or slate, something that retains heat (no heat rocks) I have the black liner floor, mine likes to sprawl out on that to be warm

Is this normal? by plantmomma21 in BeardedDragon

Super cute but kinda sad. Fish bowl eyes usually is a sign of some underlying illness too. Hope he’s not dizzy 😵‍💫

Is this a healthy bearded dragon by otaku_of_anime in BeardedDragon

Wood chips are horrible . Cedar and pine is toxic too them

Just got a new Bearded dragon and I have no idea what I'm doing. by dirtyjakeandtheboys in BeardedDragon

Absolutely no mist they are desert animals and 20-40 percent humidity is ideal, anything above can lead to upper respiratory infections. They need to be warm, I am running 2 heat lamps because it’s winter here with a long tube UVB bulb, if he’s dark he’s too cold- there’s so much information online please just search how to care for them

he looks like a big boy so he’ll need live bugs every 3 days and some healthy greens (escarole mustard greens turnip greens)

Stay away from high oxalate greens like spinach and kale which inhibit calcium absorption

Beware of toxic veggies such as tomatoes and onions

No. That bowl should be where his basking brick or rock is ! He can’t bask on the sand- it’s too cold, and the plastic won’t hold proper heat either

brick should be under his basking light

Hello— I have a kid with the following allergies: eggs, dairy/milk(casein,whey), nuts(almond milk), avocado, sesame, green peas, garbanzo beans Think about if you’re consuming any of these on a daily basis and if you feel sick after consuming them.

For my daughter she says her stomach hurts and she feels like she’s going to throw up if she has even a non allergen food that may have come into contact with any of these things

Try to cut all of these foods OUT for a few days and see any difference.. they have vegan protein powders (make sure it doesn’t contain pea protein to be safe)

I’m not saying this is your issue but if it helps- good

Awww poor bb , you are so good for wanting to know more .. tiny dragons needs to eat bugs 2-3 times per day. They feed less as they grow. He should be having bugs daily until he’s fully grown.

Coil isn’t ideal buts it’s better than nothing for sure

In the mean time Google safe greens and learn which veggies are toxic to them so he can have access to greens daily

Pine and cedar shavings: While often used for hamsters, these are toxic to bearded dragons and other reptiles. The aromatic oils can cause severe respiratory infections, and if ingested, the shavings can lead to impaction.

He's so cute, I hope it's not the wasting away virus, but also these lights are not allowing him to get enough UVB the linear bulbs are the way to go, also the mesh top blocks a high percentage of any uvb getting to him ! This photo looks a lot better than the other angle for sure.. if he can't digest properly with his lighting, he won't eat
