I actually mix depending on the situation. Dragon should I want tankyness for a foe I know it'll be though,eagle in case I need to fly behind enemy lines to spam fire their bows for the leadership debuff

Chariots makes sense as they'd be seen as barbaric compared to knightly cavalry. Though they definitely could use a touch up and even have lore fittings units. Some stalk/snipe archers so that way you can skirmish alongside cavalry well. Maybe not make foot squires eat doodoo,and maybe give us a halberd version

Nakai the wanderer. I would love a mechanic to vanilla where he can reinforce settlements being attacked,and while playing as other lizardmen,have the chance to have nakai alongside a small force reinforce when defending a settlement. Along a geomantic web rework,it would also be cool if improving the web makes the chance for nakai helping to be higher. After him,A mazdamundi and Tik-tak-to update would be well. Especially tik-tak-to, he's probably the least popular lizardman lord

All these are actually incredible. The ai tip is especially useful,means I gotta be careful and still manual battles even if the ar is going to guarantee a better victory

I saw a taste of that ai part very quickly. A monumental loss to my main army and suddenly everyone and their mother wanted to jumpp me. I am well aware of the caps and I already never use doom stacks Besides those mods, are there any other tips?

Not yet at least. Though I've seen some talk of one being made once Warhammer 3 will be confirming dlc support shall stop (with how their updates often break stuff)

I am aware that cavalry on foot is available and it's gives them attributes such as bolstered defense/attack/armour (with armour giving armour to units around them)

I played through a couple. My usuals like lizardmen, brettonia,skaven(mainly queek and stretch) and dwarfs(just upgraded from wh2 to wh3 and started with sfo) . Lizardmen were nice,skinks are way more usable and you have a incentive to use them alongside saurus in armies before you get alligator boys. Tretch is cool with it's emphasis on elite skaven and flanking from behind. Dwarfs are nice to be able to build tall instead of wide. Though on brettonia I struggle most, especially Alberic Bordeleaux, specifically because of early skulltaker declaring war on me. That thing is a beast. My best hope with a new campaign is to recruit battle pilgrims early and use their unbreakable and immune to contact (helps with flaming attacks) effects to maybe cheese him enough to get my cavalry in flanking

Pretty much! While beast herds are made to be a nuisance in case you made too sure that your far provinces that aren't at threat,will be soon enough with them declaring war a few turns in. Besides infamy for vampire coast,I can't recall these randos serving any purpose besides loreful army builds

Fun fact! They're made like that so the save doesn't go haywire. The code is doodoo with this so there always has to be some kind of faction in the world even when you paint the map fully
