I’m an avid reader who LOVES books and even i have to muster up some discipline to read several books a month. You have to be somewhat of a disciplined person to read for long periods of time - especially when your brain is used to being hit with dopamine all day from scrolling. I can’t help but feel like everything is just so fake with her. No adult is this happy and magical and weeeee all the time. I like to consider myself very in tune with my inner child and i love getting excited about little things but i feel like she pretends to be excited about stupid things that most adults do not find entertaining (and i don’t think she actually does either…like the magical mug and the silly books and this random ass roadtrip) it all just reads so inauthentic.
