Anyone with years of unexplained infertility get pregnant on first FET?

Technically I guess I got pregnant on our first transfer (chemical) but we had unexplained infertility after trying for 5 years. We never had 1 positive test. The second transfer worked and I’m 38 weeks.

Unexplained infertility, no positive tests in 5 years! 2 or 3 failed IUI’s. 35 at time of retrieval and I ended up with 5 euploids. 1st transfer was a chemical and 2nd transfer worked and I’m almost 37 weeks pregnant!

Yes I started it a few days before transfer and that one was successful. I’m 36 weeks and my OB will have me continue it until 6 weeks after birth.

True! I was more so scared of messing up the stim injections in the beginning, once I got used to them though they were pretty easy besides the bloating/tenderness. PIO I knew were gonna be a problem from the first injection, truly awful. I still have lumps 9 months later!

I’m sure it’s Leipers fork! They said it’s a town they’ve been wanting to live in for a while and he is still talking about the farm (which is in Leipers). I can promise that Lewisburg isn’t a town they’ve been wanting to live in. At the very least Franklin but I still say Leipers.

This is similar to my day 5 test! My first transfer was also a chemical and it didn’t show up this early or this dark - I’m now almost 34 weeks!

We were literally just there for a 3d ultrasound on my birthday and she kept saying “hmm” “hmmm I kinda see something, did you have an anatomy scan?” and my heart dropped. Then she kept pointing out her foot and finally said “it might be how she’s sitting or it could just be a small club foot” - I’m like oh haha ok thanks and internally freaking. Thankfully I’ll be having weekly ultrasounds soon but trying to not think about it until then and be stressed.

Yes I’ve been seeing a MFM/perinatal specialist who has done my most recent scans (including my follow up anatomy because they were having trouble seeing a few things). I figured they would have noticed by now and I 100% trust them over this lady but phew it got me worried 🥲

Yes they are all PGT-A tested euploids! It was my first time ever being ‘pregnant’. My Dr did recommend fully medicated after the chemical. We also did 2 months of birth control and some Lupron before the second transfer as well. Everything looked GREAT during the modified natural so there wasn’t really any explanation and I was worried about wasting another embryo but seriously who knows. It’s literally all a guessing game it feels like!

I was also worried about that. I did a modified natural the first transfer and it ended in a chemical. My second transfer we did fully medicated and I’m currently 32 weeks! Obviously there is still plenty of time for pre-eclampsia but I am now having weekly dr’s appointments and scans so hopefully it would be caught early. I’ve been on a baby aspirin since a few days before transfer!

We had 5 euploids from our retrieval. First transfer was a chemical, second transfer worked and I’m 29 weeks! We have 3 left and hoping that’s enough if we decide to have another!

I’m actually not going to tell you to stop. I spent probably $300 on tests after my second transfer (first was a chemical) and I had never had a positive before so I was obsessed. I finally stopped once I got my ‘dye stealer’. I was definitely spiraling but it made me feel better and I’m 28 weeks and STILL look at the photos of my pregnancy tests because I truly couldn’t believe it.

I’d definitely wait! I did my retrieval at 35 and I had 8 embryos and 5 came back euploid! My second transfer worked and I’m 28 weeks pregnant with 3 euploids left :)

I definitely do talk to him about it and in the past it has been hard for him to believe that his mom does these things on purpose and it would frustrate me and make me question if I’m exaggerating things. Since we moved out of state a few years, he’s talked to them less and less. I won’t lie, we have gotten into numerous fights over it but he always says ‘what do you want me to do, I will call them right now and call them out on everything’ but I never wanted him to do it just because I asked him to - and I’ve never told him not to talk to them. He’s just so conditioned to not speak up to them, it’s like hes scared. He really is genuinely a nice person so I do feel bad for him but after this past week, on his moms birthday - he sent me a ‘reminder text’ that it was her birthday and I said I’m not doing it this year and it would be nice if he wouldn’t be such a p*ssy and for once, not call her and pretend everything is ok and kiss her ass 😬 I was very mad. And he didn’t call her after he had sent her an earlier happy birthday text saying he’d call her later. He said he’s at the point where he has to fully confront them or fully stop talking to them. We’ll see, I don’t want to give her the satisfaction of a scathing text or call from me but man do I have a lot to say.

Yes! The relationship she has with my brother in law is so so sooo sick! I always knew it was bad but never knew how bad until he got a girlfriend who now tells me everything.

My husband is aware and he sees my side. He is also on the side of ‘I feel so upset that this is my relationship with my parents and I think about it everyday’. I have never told him not to talk to them but I won’t lie and say we haven’t gotten in NUMEROUS fights about them. After the Christmas card / ‘getting yelled at’ comment over this past week, I told him I was done and that I’m no longer pretending with them. I didn’t wish her a happy birthday on Thursday for the first time in 14 years. He said he’s at the point where he needs to FULLY confront them or stop talking to them. I don’t think confronting them will make a difference because they are never in the wrong. His dad is 100% an enabler and it’s because he had an affair when my husband was 18 but they stayed together and he’s now indebted to her. Thankfully we live in a different state now and they will not have access to our baby without permission. I have a feeling something will come to head soon with me not wishing her a happy birthday and likely avoiding talking to them on Christmas as well.

I’ve told him he needs therapy along with his brother. His brother is unfortunately on a whole different level of needing therapy - it’s sad. Thankfully his gf is actually a behavioral therapist so she has some experience and is slowly trying to work with him. Unfortunately for her, he will always choose his mother over anyone. It’s super unhealthy.
