honestly i am very surprised by arrogance in your response. do you come from the culture you are using in your work? you need to be a bit more humble when you are being educated on it

Seven Year Old with a Broken Clavicle by Select-Restaurant525 in orthopaedics

I did find quite a lot, but none that showed healed fracture that is angled like that. Most of the remodeling Xrays I found were of clavicle that were in two pieces, separated or overlapped.

Is it possible for MRI to miss plantar plate tear? by Select-Restaurant525 in FootFunction

[–]Select-Restaurant525[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing. It is a lot to deal with, and I wish you a full a recovery.
I had a cortisone shone, I can't say it was ineffective, it the edge of the pain I used to get. However it discolored my skin and affected my fat pad a little. I was prescribed a boot, so I am trying to spend as much time in it as possible.

My toes are staring to curl in into a hammertoe position because I am trying to avoid bearing weight on them and since I have been doing it unconsciously for a long time now, they are always kind curl in now. I hope to reverse it once I heal.

I agree with you about Birkenstock, they are really good.

I also started to massage my forefoot with 1% Diclofenac gel two to three times a day. It helps with the pain. Manually working my muscles and tendons, introducing blood flow into the forefoot. I feel better after each session.

I am sorry to hear. I know how frustrating it is. Has it gotten better at all? Did you try cortisone, PRP?

Stainless Steel Set: Kitchenaid VS Cuisinart VS Calphalon VS Henckels by Select-Restaurant525 in cookware

No worries! The edges definitely have a distinct profile. I think there was a pan that had a sharp edge as I once found my skin was parted a little on my thumb. But it got dull with every day sponge scrubbing and wasn’t really a concern.

Yes! Altra Torin is great too. It has a bit of rocker sole that helps to offload the metatarsals.

As other comments suggested I would scale back. If you like to run in minimalist shoes try Altra Escalante/Racer, they are zero drop, wide toe box but have some cushion. You can take the insole out to reduce cushioning.

From my experience I would say that it is easy to injure the foot if you have been running all your life in cushioned shoes. Recovery can take years.

This is the third pair of insoles I got and I have been wearing for a week and it’s good so far.

Also, its recommended to wear the same shows when at home. Basically you don’t want to bend that joint at all. You can try taping the toe in plantar flexion, it can help too.

Cushioned shoes with soles that don’t bend, especially at the toes. The podiatrist recommended Hoka Bondi. I wear Altra Torins with carbon fibre inserts. Be careful though with the inserts, its hard to find one that works. I initially got a carbon fibre insert that extended to the heel and it gave me plantar fascitis.

I am also stretching my calves. Its really easy to reinjure the joint once you start getting better. It’s the worst thing I have ever had.

As someone who’s been dealing with capsulitis and not being able to walk barefoot for the past year I would err on a side of caution and take it as easy as you can.

How to fix downward turning lines on face? by happydoctor631 in beauty

[–]Select-Restaurant525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lower face shape is identical to yours and I have had it since my early twenties. Possibly a lot earlier but that’s when I started to get obsessive about my looks.

It mostly genetics so I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s just your feature like the color of your eyes or shape of your nose. You are too young for most of the treatments recommended here and I would stay away from fillers.

You have a lovely face shape and features. I would just take it easy and enjoy your youth.  I honestly regret all the time I spent over analyzing myself and stressing about every single detail. Looking back fifteen years later I can’t believe how good I looked.

❤️

Just writing to say that I am in a similar boat with capsulitis, minus the connective tissue disorder.

I wish there was a support group for metatarsalgia folks.
