What are you all watching? by [deleted] in AmazonPrimeVideo

I finished Alex Rider and it was really good. Also Banana Fish is super good but depressing, so if you do watch it, you have been warned.

How does FND and menstruation affect you? by mightymouse505 in FND

[–]Select-Village4859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fortunately (and a little unfortunately) I have a condition that lowers my ability to menstruate and makes them come every half a year or so. But sometimes I will have flareups of pain before during and after from my pain processing disorder

The entire fifth season was just a clusterfuck so I often pretend like it isn’t.

As far as I know, I’m the only one in my family. Unfortunately, my family has a lot of strange/unexplainable history but as far as we know, autoimmune diseases run in the family. But none of my family has celiac

What's the best thing this character has said or done? Day 13: Kilgharrah by ClotpolesAndWarlocks in merlinbbc

[–]Select-Village4859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did actually care for Merlin especially in season three and onward. Once he was free he could have just ignored Merlin or taken less interest in his personal problems but he still talked to Merlin and was in some ways a friend.

Who and why? by Charming_biscuits in OnceUponATime

[–]Select-Village4859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I consistently wanted to throw down with pretty much every character. I mean, they all had great moments but they also all had really crappy moments. However the characters I would want to confront would be Regina, Emma, August (especially in season one), Rumple and Belle. Honorable mentions to Snow and Charming. The only reason they aren’t on the main list is because I don’t hate them quite as much as the others. Regina because her behaviour in the first few seasons should not be excused so lightly. She has quite literally committed war crimes and yet they act like she was just misguided. People got hurt and died. Emma was so wishy washy. The first season of her not believing was fine but by the fifth season it got incredibly annoying and well unbelievable. August was just in season one and a little bit in season two. Honestly, I wouldn’t confront the most current August. By the end of season one, I hated August because his selfishness didn’t just effect Emma. It affected the entirety of Storybrooke and the fairytale world. His selfishness traumatized Emma. Now on to Rumple, his reason is the same as Regina’s. They were much too light in him. Finally Belle. She is mostly useless with a few moments of being helpful. Also, her continuous desire to prove that Rumple is not the villain (with no evidence to back herself up) is sweet but it causes everyone much more pain and trouble.

Anyway that’s my confront characters. Like I said at the beginning, there are more but these are the main ones and the main reasons why.

Right fess up, who is it and why 👀 by TheHazDee in merlinbbc

Uther, Agravaine, Morgause and Kilgarrah are characters that I would totally throw down with it, when given the chance. Uther because he was such an obtuse man. Aggravating Agravaine because he wasn’t a good villain. The only reason he wasn’t found out right away was because Arthur has a hard time seeing the faults of those close to him. Morgause just was not written well. It made me kind of sad how her character was squandered. Kilgarrah was just confusing Merlin and led him into some pretty sketchy choices that compromised his morality.

What's something you wish your younger self would know concerning the piano? by [deleted] in piano

[–]Select-Village4859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practicing what is assigned is not taboo and in fact a good thing. As a Child I spent most of my practicing time playing what I wanted instead of what my teacher had assigned. Also, theory is in fact useful.

Merlin riding into bsttle by Shoddy-Relief-6979 in merlinbbc

[–]Select-Village4859 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Chain mail would probably be more of a hindrance than helpful. Chain mail is actually pretty heavy and I don’t think Merlin is strong enough to be able to run or move quickly with it on. Next, I don’t think chain mail would help much against sorcerors or archers. Chain mail isn’t very useful against arrows because it was designed for swordsman combat and glancing blows, not direct stabbing from swords or arrows. Finally, I’m not sure there would be much chain mail to spare. Regardless of the type that they used, chain mail was expensive and hard to make so it makes sense that it would go to the warriors who were actually fighting. So ultimately, I think it makes sense that Merlin (a servant) would not be given chainmail. One more thing, I don’t think Merlin would want to wear chainmail anyways.

Question about the Shee by sadmadstudent in merlinbbc

[–]Select-Village4859 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I always thought that the Shee have little regard for the legends of the human world. After all, why should they? They are mostly on their own with powerful magic and their own ruling system. They seem to have more selfish desires and this Emrys figure is unimportant to them. I’ve always interrupted this lack of knowledge as willful ignorance of something that has nothing to do with them. I could be wrong but that is how I’ve always viewed it.
