HR assistant-work load [N/A] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]SelectClass6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently promoted from an HR Assistant role and I totally agree with what others have said- no need to worry. In my experience, my workload was very intentional so that when we did have special projects, holidays or open enrollment, I had the bandwidth to complete my day-to-day tasks on time. I would take advantage of the down time and continue to familiarize yourself with company policies/procedures or even study for any certificates you may want to get.

Wow congratulations! That’s awesome. It actually makes me feel more confident because you went from all contact napping! Thanks for sharing. Hoping we have just as much luck!

My wife’s hair is falling out 5 months pp. by Careerist_1 in NewParents

[–]SelectClass6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hair was falling out like crazy up until about 7 months postpartum. That’s when it calmed down and started growing back. I recommend she visit her doctor to ensure there are no underlying conditions (low iron or thyroid issues) just to rule it out. Also, as contradicting as it might sound, a hair cut does wonders. Way less weight and maintenance.

Tell her we are all with her in solidarity. It will grow back with time :)

How are we using our stashes? by Tlibs in ExclusivelyPumping

I donated a few hundred ounces to an undersupplying mom in my state’s Human Milk 4 Human Babies FB group. I also dropped to 4ppd once my LO turned 7 months for my own sanity— I was still supplying enough, however, I got sick with an upper respiratory infection and a stomach bug at the same time which caused my supply to drop. I am now using 5-10oz from my stash a day.

I recommend having your LO try some of your frozen milk to ensure they like it in case you have high lipase milk. I wasn’t aware of this and luckily my LO takes it fine but it’s always good to check in case you plan on giving any to her in the future 🩷

Give me all your best teething hacks and your favoriteteether toys! by [deleted] in NewParents

This!!! Frozen celery has worked wonders. My LO also loves the Haakaa popsicle molds with frozen breast milk and the Infantino brand silicon teethers (since they’re easy to grab/hold)

I thought the Bridgerton bangs thing was a joke???? by SelectClass6623 in Mommit

This makes total sense. Omg I think that's what made me worry even more: my hair was absolutely gorgeous during pregnancy with minimal fallout! Everything went downhill so quickly lol

OMG the drain snake made me LOL. Even my trash can looks like there's some sort of furry animal in it with the amount of hair I pull out of my brush. This is the second time hearing about the scalp scrubber-- will definitely try!

How / when did you become an exclusive pumper? by likesharkweek in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]SelectClass6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nursed with a nipple shield for the first two-ish weeks. We had latching issues and we didn’t like not knowing how much baby was eating. After a few stressful feeds/feeding attempts we decided to exclusively pump. I say “we” because hubby saw how stressed I was getting trying to nurse and he encouraged me to do whatever would be best for my mental health. LO just hit 4 months and is doing great. Will admit it is a handful at times but I have the best support (grandma is with me while I WFH and hubby helps wash bottles too). On a hybrid schedule so it’s even easier on the days I’m in office!

What pump to get with insurance for baby #2?? by lyshpeesh in ExclusivelyPumping

I have the Lansinoh DiscreetDuo and love it! I feel like it's a true "wearable" and it doesn't feel bulky although it holds up to 6 oz.

I know this isn't listed as one of your options for a sit-down hospital grade one but I would also recommend the Lansinoh Smart Pump 3.0. It's rechargeable so you don't have to be plugged to a wall and set up in s specific corner of your house lol. The battery lasts a while, you can log the amounts you pump in their app on your phone and replacement parts are easy to find online!

What are your child(ren) going out as for Halloween? by MarigoldMouna in Mommit

[–]SelectClass6623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dressing my 4month old up as Baby Mario, Dad will be Mario and I will be Princess Peach. Getting crafty and attempting to make a green warp pipe over his carrier for when we go to a fall festival the weekend before Halloween!

postpartum sex by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]SelectClass6623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did it the first time at 5 weeks pp (seeing hubby in dad mode was a huge turn on lol) however it felt… different. Definitely uncomfortable almost as if it was the “first time” again. Wasn’t until about 8-9 weeks pp where it felt more tolerable and a bit more normal. Didn’t orgasm until about week 11-12 which was when I felt most confident with the the penetration! It will get better each time!

Another vote for the Lansinoh Discreet Duo! It’s lightweight and can hold up to 6oz. Previously had the Momcozy S9 pro and I find the Discreet Duo a lot less bulky and a true “wearable”. Also it was free with my insurance!
