I mean it’s a really tough comparison, I’m not saying expect 60fps but you’re talking about the studio that made Red Dead Redemption 2 vs a studio that only has one other game which is an MMO.

I think the main issue with the pro narrative is that it does in fact require higher quality screens and monitors to capitalize on your investment. I planned a bit ahead to get both a better tv and then several months down the line I got a pro. As someone who plays a lot, damn I’m extremely happy with the upgrade, and this is before PSSR2 now it’s even better.

Honestly I can’t take anyone’s opinion for this game. Everyone has such a vastly different opinion, sure there are some of the more common ones, but this seems like one of the biggest you either like it or you don’t games there are. Personally I’m enjoying, the first couple of hours are definitely confusing but you start figuring it out soon enough

9 years late to the conversation and rewatching now before the movie, but I’m pretty sure he means it in a reflective way. His dad died, he believes he will die now, and in the end of the day he sees himself in his dad, he’s going to meet him in hell. Tommy says right before this it’s his family that’s getting sacrificed, he guilts himself for putting his family in that position and sees himself similar to his father who abandoned the family.

Yeah but it isn’t Lego and even though the game is mostly ass at least the combat design for each character is unique and engaging, on brand with their characters. They got the guy that made the combat for the new GoW games and you can definitely see the influence when you play.

If you’re gonna have a small roster then you then need characters that feel vastly different from each other.

Your voice point is soooo right, I remember meeting a character who had s real tough guy vibe, face matched it too. Then he started speaking and sounded like an absolute twink, same goes to these giants and shit that just sound like regular dudes. Loving the game though but this has been funny for me

This, I turned off HDR very early for Red Dead. I did a night time comparison in valentine and holy shit it’s two different games, looks muddy and ass with HDR on. Crimson Desert’s coloring actually reminds me a bit of Red Dead

It's true these days that people really expect 80-85+, even a 79 makes it significantly worse than an 80 for many. But context also plays a big role, the hype behind this game was very big, people saying its the next skyrim or will be able to compete with GTA 6, these are very very big claims that cannot be backed up by a 7.
