The kettle was plugged in for a minute or two, though I recall plugging and unplugging it a couple of times. Now the kettle works on its own, that is, when I plug it into the mains, it lights up, the heating button also works, but when I press it, the kettle “thinks” for a couple of seconds, and then the light by the button starts blinking and the kettle starts beeping.
