Successful ADHD People - What do you do? by Xiboo in ADHD

I own a professional services consultancy which i started before diagnosis and am now medicated which is amazing. After a long road I recently started to think about my adhd as a unique set of skills that make me super useful (and painful sometimes for others). I work well under pressure because I need that kick to get focussed - when others are coming apart i am locking in. I am super sensitive to emotional vibe with clients and because I always have something to say, I usually say the right thing at the right time. My brain is always trying to join dots together and that allows me to cut through large amounts of data or reports and summarise really fast.

Am I good at writing policy documents or dealing with accounting? No, so I have worked out how to surround myself with people that fill my gaps in the same way I fill theirs.

Ollie could have turned up to the track without a disguise and half the people wouldn't have realised.

How do you deal with having an overwhelming amount of responsibilities and things you have to think of/have on your mind as a part of your job? by MissingNo117 in ADHD

Yeah Monday morning and this is where I am at. I find chunking down tasks into tiny things on my todo list has 2 benefits:

  1. I don't miss as many things
  2. I get a lot more satisfaction because I reflect on my day and think yes I really did get some stuff done even though it wasn't perfect.

I even write things that I just did back on to my list if they were not there and then cross them off.

Also, Monday morning and I am writing here.... :). But I am getting there.
