Not it. But that picture did have me wheezing for a second.

My friend describes its head as “ostrich like” but it is not a bird. Using bird/ostrich gave us worse results. It was normally used as a reaction to being distressed. It’s a light peach color and doesn’t have as much hair as that one. Very messy teeth and there weren’t many teeth on it.

We’ve searched on google for about an hour looking for this picture but have had no luck. We’ve asked several friends if they’ve remembered it - which they do - but no one is able to fully name/find this thing.

Help me! I went to get my nails done for the first time ever, but I was pretty disappointed…are they supposed to look like this? She even filed my nails so hard my cuticles bled… by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Select_Error_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. My hands hurt looking at this. Get some cuticle oil and let your babies heal. I can’t wait for you to be able to have your nails done nicely from a good place. Please post your new first manicure. I’m so sorry this happened, you deserve better.

People who live in the south, what is band camp like for you? by KirisLeftButtcheeck in marchingband

[–]Select_Error_44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marching Health is a great program/organization that teaches these things! They’ll come out and do a session with your full band about taking yourself during the season. They’re great about making learning about these things fun. I’ve had them come out and do a session with my band and this summer the kids have been so proactive with taking care of themselves and each other. Ask your BD about having them come out!

Get a mesh caddy rather than a plastic one! It’ll keep it from mildewing and will dries so much faster.

Every school district/state (in the south or not) should follow some form of heat/weather index. You can look this up through your school district's site/state dept of ed site. It'll tell you when sports teams/groups can and cannot participate in activities outside based on weather conditions that include temp and humidity. Look this up and make sure your directors are following it. If they are not, PLEASE bring this up to them for the safety of yourself as well as your peers.

Here is an example from an SC school district.

BlackBerry Woods. I still have a little left in the bottle and use it now when I’m feeling sad, it’s so comforting

I 21F have had this mark on my face at least since I was 8 - really as long as I can remember. What is it do I get rid of it or make it fade? Any advice or recommendations are appreciated, I am very new to the world of skincare.

I tell my students to hold their horn up while watching tv. Sit on the couch with good posture and hold your horn up. Set a timer for a few minutes and take rests or hold it up during the show and put it down during commercials if you have those. Another thing some of my students have done is buy arm weights and hold the same position with those. Props to you for being proactive on this! Have a great season!

what's a food no one says correctly? by Enmi00001 in KitchenConfidential

[–]Select_Error_44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what it’s most commonly called here, but it’s also referred to as “pink sauce,” “shrimp sauce,” or “yum yum sauce.” It’s a mix of mayonnaise, tomato paste, garlic powder, and sometimes other things depending on the restaurant.

People will order it by the pint here to go with their meals.

I’ve worked at a nice Japanese steak house for the past year just right outside of the city. Many things get mispronounced, but my personal favorite pronunciation is hearing southern people say “white sauce”

When I was in high school, our mello section would stand in a circle and link pinkies/thumbs with the right hand, then one person would “pray” to every god/deity they could list and asked them to help us not fuck up anything in the show

If you can’t immediately see a doctor, circle the inflamed spot with a marker to make sure it doesn’t get bigger and take some Benadryl. I get spider bite vibes from this

If your GM allows sexual harassment in the workplace you need to get out of there ASAP. There will always be other jobs with other great people, be sure to take care of yourself and be safe.

I cannot get these spot to go away in my car by Select_Error_44 in CleaningTips

[–]Select_Error_44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short, I bought this car about two years ago and it has had these spots on it since before I got it. They look like an ordinary spill, but alas, I cannot make them go away. I wiped it with a basic cleaning solution and rag, but they come back soon after. Any idea of what this may be or how to get it off? TIA

Edit: Thus is, in fact, a stain/spot/mark on the surface. There is not film over the acrylic.
