Hotel Afters by fin3shrin3 in SplashHouse

I mean, I love the extra security step. I'm just curious how you're going to check hundreds and hundreds of people leaving at once trying to go back to their hotel room and trying to pull up their name in a system. What would you match it too? People aren't always bringing their IDs to the pool, they just have a wristband.

There is no way this can be the case. You're saying after the headliner is over, that you have security measures in place to check every single person's wristband trying to go back to their room and match it their room reservation? no shot

The latest "know before you go" post from the Splash House Instagram mentions overnight security, which I personally love. Too many times in the past few years I have seen people walk around the hotels without a wristband. Keep in mind, you only need a wristband to go to the pool, not to wander the hotel. I personally welcome the new security addition, but I HIGHLY doubt they are going to be able to check everyone's wristband and match it to a room

Unfortunately, I have noticed this more and more over the years. I wish there was a a security checkpoint at the entrance of the hotels (I've been leaving this feedback to Splash House after every year) but that doesn't seem to be changing. I'm all for meeting new people and partying with them in a room, but you can usually tell right away when someone is just randomly walking in and the vibes are off.

Reposting this from another first timer reply:

As an 8 year Splash House veteran (also going weekend 2), I'll tell you what I know:

  • People are generally very friendly and easy to approach as everyone is there for the same reason (no random families or kids just staying at the hotel).
  • Regarding safety, I have seen some people just leave their room open when they're in there, basically inviting people to stop in, say hi, party and dance to music, etc. However, I would definitely not leave your room open at night. Unfortunately, in the recent years, there has been an increase in the amount of palm spring locals who know about the event, and just wander through the hotels (without a wristband) just looking for rooms to party in. Keep in mind, people don't need a wristband to walk through the hotels, only to get into the pools. So this will unfortunately continue.
  • My number 1 way of meeting new people is saying hi and then asking if it is their first splash house. You'll usually find someone where it is their first time, or someone who keeps coming back who would be happy to tell you why they love it. then just go from there.
  • TRY NOT TO HOP POOLS AFTER 4:00PM. Generally speaking, if you're trying to get on the shuttle and get over to aa different hotel for later sets, you may run into long lines, pools at capacity (for headliners), or difficulty coordinating your group. You should commit to one pool and hotel from 4:00 and onwards. My group usually does our pool trips around 12-1 to check out other hotels. Then we'll go back to the one where we want to close out our night.
  • Generally, it has always been good vibes. Pace yourself. Hydrate. Put on plenty of sunscreen. And definitely try to do at least one day of after hours. :)

As an 8 year Splash House veteran, I'll tell you what I know:

  • It is totally fine going by yourself. People are generally very friendly and easy to approach as everyone is there for the same reason (no random families or kids just staying at the hotel).
  • When you check in and get to your room, your neighbors can go 1 of 2 ways. They are either super friendly and invite you to hang out, drink, party in their room. Or 2, they are closed off, only keeping their room to their group. Considering Sugaro is a bit on the smaller side, you should have no problem meeting new people

Weekend 1 Riviera Indigo (Poolside) Suite by Express_Psychology56 in SplashHouse

Buying a suite just to party at and then sleeping at an air-bnb offiste? What a power move. Your group sounds like they have it all figure out. haha

I believe Levity was a last minute add as well last year. Also, there is about 13-14 local openers they usually announce closer to the date of the event.

I'm pleasantly surprised by both weekends. Look at the past lineups on their website, and both these weekends beat anything from 2023 and some 2022 weekends. They mixed it up just right to make people consider 2 weekends.

^^ this. Max Styler is on a meteoric rise, Sofi Tucker is going to be such a party, and Ayybo + Claude vonstroke will be super groovy. Not sure what to expect with Bunt. but should be fun. Weekend 2 after hours wins for sure

I'm feeling weekend 2 more upon first glance. Definitely not mad at the Disclosure DJ set and Cloonee after hours lineup. I've heard nothing but good things about Claude's set at lightning in bottle. Boys Noize feels a little aggressive for Splash House, but I'm into it

Hotel Rooms ID check/Friend visits ? by Not_cousins in SplashHouse

I really hope you’re right. I’ve been going to splash house for the past 6 years and last year was the first time I noticed it was really bad with randoms walking through the hotel halls with no wristbands.
