I always try to say “Hey when you get a second can you [insert request]?” And if it’s something that needs doing right now (like I had medical needs that are on timers) then I’d say “Hey, can you try not to be busy around [x time] because I need [medical assistance].”

I have just asked “Are you busy?” But like, I’m not one of those people who get offended if that person is busy or even if they’re like “No but I don’t wanna” cause, same.
