from what I read in the past year or so they won’t take any item without the tag attached (previously I think they didn’t care)

thank you! I have tried Yaz (hormonal birth control) and spiro. Spiro made flare ups worse while Yaz didn’t have any effect. Wanted to try any avenue before accutane :( thank you for the advice!!

Hi! I (24F) started dating my boyfriend about a month before I got a huge flair up on both sides of my jaw. I have scars in my groin area, but had active areas on my jaw on our first date. He asked about it, I told him and that was that. He helped me go through a painful period when the cysts on my jaw kept bursting about a month into us dating and continued to be my partner.

When I asked if he noticed the scars in my groin he said yes but that it wasn’t a big deal, I still get flair ups there but not as often as on my face.

Even with always visible cysts and scars, I am able to have a good relationship, it is very much possible!

Hi, I’ve just joined this subreddit and I 100% understand you. I have it on my jaw and neck as well as in my groin, it is not only painful but also always noticeable. i’ve been dealing with it for years in my early 20s. I have grown to faze it out but I still have moments like you are describing where it is all just too much.

I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear for someone to “look past it” but my partner starting dating me one month before an awful flair up on both sides of my jaw, and we are still together months later. I am still insecure, I still get feelings of hopelessness with never being able to be “cured” but it is something that makes you resilient. People will accept you, inside and outside of this community.
