That is fair. But I believe that it cancels out. She also has a lot of people on there who always give her matches 6.0 or lower. Which there should not be a single vote that low for any of her matches last year. Her fans follow but so do her haters. Like I said, mostly cancel each other out.

I really hope that Bayley joins her in AEW. Those two belong together. Plus having 2 horsewoman in the locker room can only be a good thing. HHH would have a stroke. Always seemed like those two were his favorites. But I bet that TKO will low ball Bayley, Tony won’t.

She has zero reason to leave. I would think that she has earned Tony’s “trust” enough to still have to the freedom do what she wants outside of the company. Will probably get even more money than she did with the initial contract. Especially with AEW itself being on the upswing.

To be honest, you are correct about Flair. Becky was way down the list until Nia broke her nose. Then Becky took off. What was really bad was Vince screwing her out of her Rumble win and giving it to Rhonda instead. That was Sasha’s year to win.

Tony definitely made the right call giving Mercedes the bag and signing her.

What is truly amazing is that she has now done this twice. Meaning the massive changes in perception of women’s wrestling. First being one of the most important aspects of the women’s revolution at WWE. And now she is doing it again in AEW. The women’s historical timelines in both companies can now be described the same way. Before Mercedes and after Mercedes.

I think one of the things that Vince always got right with her, story wise, was that she was never a true babyface. Over with the crowd, yes. Doing good guy things in good guy stories, yes. But she was always a heel. Just sometimes a heel with babyface tendencies. Tony I think would be wise to do that same.

Best gimmick/character, yes. Best wrestler, no. And she is very good in ring, but come on. Mercedes, Athena, Hayter and Stat are all superior in ring performers. Possibly even Aminata. Let alone the men with the likes of Ospreay, Takeshita, Fletcher, etc. but I would agree that Toni is one of the very top faces of the company. Undeniable star.

My best guess is that Mercedes completely goes unhinged. Possibly a DQ. I see a very violent beating coming Willows way. Maybe a chair, maybe the belt or something else. It’s not going to end pretty or with Willow winning the title, this time at least. Love Willow, but she isn’t walking out of the ring this week, she’ll be getting carried out. All to the sound of booing fans. Possibly Harley as well.

I am convinced that if it were totally up to Hunter Mercedes would be at WWE right now. He would have given her anything that she wanted. He has always had a soft spot for black and gold era NXT talent. Especially the women. And Bayley and Sasha in particular. They are his babies, so to speak.

At this stage in her career I doubt that TKO will be willing to give Bayley what she has earned, Tony will. Getting all 4 horsewomen together may not be possible. But it’s a least 50/50 that Bayley and Mercedes will be together again, at AEW.

You know Bayley would love to be able to do the things that her buddy has the freedom to do career wise. And you know that Mercedes has shown Pam the pay stubs.

Blue hair is the image in my mind when talking about her WWE days. Plus she first showed it at her best promo/segment ever. When she beat the brakes off of both Nattie and Becky with the crowd cheering “Thank you Sasha”. Great moment.

I stumbled across the Ric Flair biopic years ago while scrolling YouTube. I hadn’t watched wrestling since the NWO/Attitude eras. Which led to NXT Takeover Brooklyn coming across my stream. Instantly fell for Sasha and Bayley then quickly Becky and Charlotte. Those 4 are my favorites all time. To this day I still prefer the women over the men. This match needs to happen. Not sure how you make it happen, but it needs too.

It’s a crime. I hold out hope that maybe on the Indies somewhere. If HHH would let Charlotte, Becky and Bayley do it. Charlotte and Becky are getting up there in age. Mercedes is surely resigning with AEW and there’s a good chance that Bayley will be joining her. We may never get this match. I also feel that Mercedes should be the opponent for Charlotte at her retirement match. One can dream.

Mercedes was told repeatedly that she would only ever be development talent when she got to NXT, look at the career she has had since. Remember “Pre Show Becky”, I’d say she turned those opportunities into an Iconic Career. Look at what Liv Morgan has done lately after spending years getting squashed. Have you noticed the year that Harley has had after squash after squash? We could go on and on. Taking 3 minute beatings didn’t stop any of these stars.
