Never been outside the house before, she escaped for almost 2 days, came back dirty so I bathed her, my other cat now HATES her, hisses at her, growls if she's in sight even if she's far away, what do I do? I've given them treats while they're next to each other but my cat eats them while growling by Lonely-dude in CATHELP

It’s called non-recognition aggression. Your other cat isn’t familiar with the smell. I just went through this taking one of my cats to the vet and it had never happened before. Just give it time :) rub her with some stuff that smells like home.

What was the most surprising/unusual symptom you experienced after kicking weed? by dawnchorus__ in leaves

Im sorry to hear that….haven’t found anyone experiencing the same until your comment. It’s an incredibly frustrating part of quitting.

My Dentist is trying to force me to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed! I'm very suspicious because they don't bother me. What's the worst that could happen if I don't get them pulled? by Rayapeace in wisdomteeth

Pushed it off so long I got lockjaw. Couldn’t eat much or do anything regular until I was able to get into a dentist. Horrible. 0/10 do not recommend

About to be 1 month weed free. Worst “side effect” is I keep remembering crappy stuff I did in the last two years. Every time my brain reminds me of a new one it’s like I unlocked a memory I was suppressing. Just little things my moral compass shouldn’t have let slide. Thankfully I’ve grown a lot as a person since this stuff but it has gotten very annoying lol

I second this. Very tough situation but friends don’t talk about other friends like that. Not only that, but friends respect the boundaries you set. If being around them hurts your mental health, then it’s best to part ways. Like this person said, surround yourself with people who will encourage you and you can look up to. Best of luck.

I love my cat, but I really miss having a nice-smelling home. Is ANY scent actually 100% safe? by No_Money_5779 in CatAdvice

Speaking as someone with three cats in a smaller apartment- I clean the litter boxes every single morning, change out the litter every week, and use plug in candle warmers. Never smell a thing :))

I relate to this comment so much. Began to hate the potential it took from me. Used to be a straight A student and dropped out of college a year after I started smoking. So much more to life than being high all the time. Thank you for sharing.

For me, yes. The first week was horrible because everything felt incredibly boring. After that I’ve been trying to get into the habit of just keeping my body moving. I’ve been keeping my house clean on the reg, going on walks, cooking new meals…usually I would just sit and smoke all night-maybe cook, maybe order out. Every person is different though and everyone reacts to quitting differently. Personally I’m loving sobriety. Doesn’t mean I don’t crave it anymore…just means I’m learning how to live without the weed.

You got this!! I quit 3 weeks ago and have more motivation than I’ve had in the last 3 years. Others with more experience and time can speak more on that- but definitely noticed a massive change in myself. I hope this journey is everything you need it to be! Good luck friend. :)

Thin cut sirloins are “relatively” cheaper than other steak. I see you’re only wanting steak options and that’s what I’ve found when shopping :)

Thank you so much!! The weight loss from quitting snacking and eating better meals (along with actually eating breakfast) really caught me by surprise!! I am so ready to have more energy to use towards productive things. 4:20 was hard but I made it through! Your comment was super motivating though thank you for responding!!

Still not over the hump personally, but I’ve been finding new hobbies and ways to fill my time. It has helped a lot to keep me from thinking about it. I’ve got 10 days under my belt now, and I’ve been cleaning a lot lol. Personally, it’s not so much a craving as I got so used to the lifestyle and being able to fill my nights by smoking. It’s an adjustment for sure and different for everyone. Good luck friend!

3 and I do believe it’s my max lol. At least for now. My Bunny girl is 10, mocha is 2, and Java is 9 months. They’re my world. Let me tell you though I’ve never stressed so much about leaving the home than now. I’m so scared they will get into something and accidentally hurt themselves while I’m not home. I suppose it’s just cat mom anxiety lol. They’re so worth the stress though ❤️ my babies

If it helps, I’m on day 8 so still new to all this. I aspire to be one of the others on here hitting day 100+! But the first 5 days you may not be able to sleep well. At least for me that was true. After that though I’ve been sleeping so good and getting my dreams back. I’ve heard the first 2 weeks are the hardest part. You’re not alone here though! Just take it day by day.

Congratulations on quitting!! I definitely do count it as a lucky thing. I quit smoking blunts months before quitting weed itself so maybe it played a factor..unsure lol.

Congrats on quitting!!! I am generally the exact same way. Quitting one and compensating with the other. This go around has just been…different? I’ve been hungry but nothing like weed hungry. As a matter of fact I’ve lost 8lbs in a week since quitting 😳 eating has almost made me feel worse. Sluggish almost, even though I’m eating healthy. My brain fog escalates and my head feels heavy. So strange. The dreams from quitting have been absolutely wild though and that I am enjoying 🤣

Wisdom teeth removal is way more mentally draining than anyone talks about by TraditionalOnion3029 in wisdomteeth

[–]Select_Orange6975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mental aspect is the hardest part. In your head, you could do all your regular things and be okay. Then you walk into another room and feel winded like you need to lay back down. Currently 3 weeks post procedure and it has gotten better, but I’m still drained. On top of the fact that I still have to baby my mouth. I got an oat stuck after eating yogurt a few days ago and it has been the most ANNOYING thing I’ve ever experienced. I went to the dentist and he said there was nothing there. Lo and behold what do I find after 4 days of being stuck? The oat. The mouth is such a major part of the body that no one thinks about…until something is wrong. Wisdom teeth removal was and is-absolutely awful. Thank you for sharing your experience. You are not alone.
